Why Democracy May Not Be Such A Great Idea After All

After you see this video -- where Americans are interviewed on current events -- you may want to consider petitioning the Queen of England to please take us back. And if you won't go that far, perhaps you'll at least consider not trying to encourage more people to vote. This is hilarious.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen (removes hat and bows low):

I would not call you dumb. Rather, if you will, witless. And while I cannot speak for HRH Queen Elizabeth (places hand over heart) since we are a multi-national crew of blokes who are from Commonwealth countries, I can say that no, we don't want you back. That would be like letting the cow back into the barn after romping all day with the bulls, savvy? No telling what sort of little buggers will show up after the fact.

Also, you Yanks have something we don't fancy and that is your Mayor, your President and your policital campaign directors.

(checks compass) Oh bugger. It looks like a squall is on the horizon. Smart lads would stay indoors for the next few days until all the tears have been cried, savvy? This means you too Mr. Dogg.

too funny.
but this is just slick editing, they edited out all the Walter Moore types who actually understand more than where their next tank of gas in their pick up is coming from.

the problem is that most people don't go out of thier way to research the facts
and many that do, don't remember them later.

Yes, yes, we know Wacko. Once again, you're too smart for the room.

Your elitist arrogance creeps out of every post you write.

This explains a miserable showing when running for mayor.

You're just too brilliant for the population. It must really chap your ivy league butt that we live in a democracy.

And thanks to Daily News for re-writing my Mayor Sam thread from this past October and December on vacancy rates and condo conversion for thier headline story today! (Not TOO long ago?)

ZD & Noel Weiss thank you for the coverage.

Who said America is a free country? It was never and will never be one. Its always gonna be a "don't ask-don't tell" based colony run by the British. Slavery is what America is all above. People here a ignorant and don't even think straight, they don't even know what is good or bad for them. America is a herd of sheep rendered by British royals, America is born that way. How long is it when bunch of loosers from the Europe fled to America to form a country, yet keep bragging about their home countries. Oh! they say we are 1/3rd French & 1/2 British and some other part Irish! GOOD, but they always fell to mention they are 100% Americans. See this is all what it is, these people who call themselves American Citizens are infacts lost in the clouds of their past, they are confused and straying all over the world, preaching what they call is democracy, AHA! ask a simple question to any general American citizen on the street, "How many letter 'c' do you have in the word 'democracy'?" you will be surprised by the answers you get. Illiteracy is flowing in their blood, coupled with ignorance and stupidly agressive attitude for others. You speak of cleanliness, well you will never find here. OK I know the country is clean, but its because outsiders take efforts to keep it that way. Keep one American Citizen in an room for a week, over weekend you will come to know the room has become a big trash container with no place to keep your foot. Have a glance at the American kids, they are mostly stonned! oh no Americans call it "high in spirit", forget of the spirits, they are pretty damn "high on drugs", and so are their parents, OH! did I mention the parents are the voters, I didn't right, well no need to mention that though. America is nothing but the new world's exploitation, bribery, starvation, hatered, anxiety and slavery spreading unit, OH! yeah its the 1st world country!!! Is it really what it promotes itself about, check it out yourself... Presidential Nominees here are busy replying to the comments made by Presidents or higher up officials of other countries (what about the queries of their own citizens?)... Let it be left or right everyone is busy running around for the musical chair competition, the music will stop and who's gonna get the presidential chair? Guess what none of 'em really deserve this chair, cause none of 'em really know what is required for that job. Run to Left, Run to Right or Jog at the Center, nothing's gonna happen, the chatter chatter will continue through out the years and ooo la la we have a new president, new world, new strategies to to mess up the country and world... It is going on since decades and will continue to yet few more decades... There was never and will never be any constructive solution drawn that will bring peace and harmony in the life of the real American citizen (OH! the Taxpayers as well). America says, Taxpayers who are those, they are our slaves they have to pay to us so we go frenzy with their money, they have to pay us because we are great, great in what!!!! Messing things up, OH Yeah! for sure America is Great!!!!

you also needs to done take some time to brush up on your littericy shcools or whatever they are.

and funny Walter how 10.54 says educated people are now elitist. that's funny. I guess he just proved the validity of your thread with that comment. if the educated are the elite, what's the majority?

"Dowd - Double post due to MayorSam being a shitty site.
Interesting information on English...unfortuantely Mandarin is still the world-leader in spoken language. And please let me know when pilots in China and Japan start using English for flights within Asia, "

ok, how about this, what language does the flight manuals and engineering details from Boeing Corp. come out in? Mandarin? I don't think so.
to fly a 767 you have to read, write speak and understand the instructions fool.
omg, you are so stupid arguing on that. plz someone get me a drink.

February 12, 2007 1:49 PM

Anonymous Anonymous said:

Dowd:

So does that mean you can't operate a Sony Walkman (YES! Score one for the 80's!) because they write the instructions only in Japanese?

I'm sure that Boeing makes "instruction manuals" for most of their aircraft in more than one language.

Dowd is the best example of illiterate America, people like these bring shame to the Great America!!! He is talking about Chinese or Japanese, hey Dowd they are far better than Americans, atleast Chinese & Japanese know how to communicate in their national language, they aint as dumbos as Americans who dont know one basic thing that language "English" is basically the language of England and not America. Look at this country Great America is so ethically and culturally challenged that it had to adopt other country's language to be called as its own National Language.

Look who is talking, Dowd you have got yet to learn a lot, take lessons first, lessons of history, Great American History... OH! you are gonna get lost in the history for sure, cause it says that Columbus found America, ooo la la. Hey China & Asia were doing business with American Continent long before even Europe was born. So in sense if Eurpoe was not born, so wasn't Columbus or America... Columbus found America, what a joke! American Continent always had human civilization centuries prior to Columbus's voyage. Look at this Columbus, ha ha ha he was in search of East India and landed in American Continent and called it India, hey the founder of America was lost himself, why wont Americans feel as been lost?

Prince Zen Xhing from China was one of the voyagers 100+ years prior to Columbus who opened trade links with American Continent, the size of Columbus's ship was equivalent to the size of the employees boat of Prince Zen Xhing. Prince Zen Xhings ship was 25 times bigger than Columbus's ship. You won't know this, and its not your fault, you are also lost in the clouds.

Aye, Captain Sparrow...

Hast thou paid thine hearth-tax to the heirs of thine king? Mayhap ye knowest naught of this law? If perchance thou hast forgotten, mayhap 'tis proper to quote it:

"Every fire-hearth and stove of every dwelling, and other house within England and Wales, except as pay not to Church and poor, shall be chargeable with two shillings per annum, payable at Michaelmas and Lady-Day, to the king and his heirs, which payment is vulgarly called chimney-money."

If indeed thou dost not own the cottage thou stayest indoors; mayhap thine landlord mayest be in arrears? Thou mayest do well lad, to confirm thine landlord hath paid; it is not a comfort to be thrown suddenly out into a stormy night through no fault of thee!

Ah America! Me land of no burdensome fire-hearth or stove tax!

Good evening Lord Chapman (removes hat and bows low with flourish):

A pleasure to hear from you again, sirrah! And thank you for the gentle reminder about the hearth tax. I can assure you that it in fact is paid, as well as the hearth taxes on the adjacent buildings nearest to the manor house. When I was a wee laddie, me mum used to tell me that my two-penny allowance would go into the ash jar if my chores were not done, and that instead of hiring a tweeney and sweep, I could do the work. Hence the name Black Jack Ash Kisser.

Fear not my lord. My slip rent is paid up for the next calendar year, and all of us do own property around the City; I myself have an abode in the Laurel Canyon area. The bard owns in Pacoima. The rudderman owns in Downtown. The helmsman owns out in the Palisades. The navigator owns in the hills above San Pedro. The quartermaster, if you will, owns an abode in the Baldwin Hills. The flagman, he owns in the Catorce Quarter near the South Pasadena border. Mind you, just because we own and pay taxes does not mean we live in those locations. We all spend time aboard the Pearl wherever she is anchored; anon she is in a marina locally. The bard lives in the Catorce Quarter. The rudderman lives in Encino. The quartermaster lives in Century City and the helmsman dwells on Navy Street in Venice Beach.

But that is the wonderful thing about America. Those of us who can rightfully claim the title of Your Grace do not have to live upon the land that gives us that same grace, savvy? We are free to live where we choose, if of course that is where we really are. Oh bugger. It's the bard who lives in Venice Beach and I live downtown. Or is it the rudderman who lives in the CQ and the bosun lives in Boyle Heights? (taps head) Now I remember! I divide my time between a certain island and Playa Del Rey. I think I need more rum.

But back to the subject at hand, paying a hearth tax is the most honourable stripe in the Yankee flag. It means you WANT to be where you are and nowhere else in the world.

have you checked with Boeing to see if they make those Japanese instructions?
hell no.
because pilots of all nationalities fly for all different countries. fact.
and when was the last time you flew on an Ipod to Tokyo.
people like you are flat out getting the tray table down.
call Boeing. its a great question.
how many languages do the instructions for a 767 come out in?
I want to see you follow it up, since you don't believe me already.

I'll be waiting.

The language of aviation WORLDWIDE, is English. Period, no exceptions. All pilots must speak it fluently, as well as all air traffic controllers worldwide. I believe all Boeing manuals are in English, as are the manuals of Airbus, which is based in Toulouse, France.
