Sarno out of DONE - FINALLY!

After being embroiled in one fiasco after the next, and launching a full frontal attack against Neighborhood Councils the Sister City has learned that Department of Neighborhood Empowerment Interim General Manager Lisa Sarno will be ousted straight out of DONE all together. Some had expressed concern that she would remain on as a "shadow General Manager" but alas, that does not appear to be the case.

Last year Sarno launched an attack against the very system she was to protect. She was later grilled for injecting racial comments into an official city report. Midway through this slow motion train wreck we at the Sister City called on the Mayor to Fire Lisa Sarno, for the good of the system. Of course in City Politics, loyal servants of the Mayor don't get fired, they get "reassigned".

For those who may be concerned about what Ms. Sarno will do without a City paycheck have no fear, she'll still get one. Rumor is that she will be in charge of the Mayors "Million Tree Initiative". Of course this means that instead of 1 Million new trees planted in Los Angeles, we'll end up with 4 shrubs and a vine but at least she has been put someplace where she can do less damage.

Good for her! She don't have to deal with crybaby NC's. NC's are a waste of taxpayers money and time.

At least the trees won't talk back to Sarno if she tells them to be accountable.

To bad! She represented the City's first real attempt to clean up the Neighborhood Clowncils.

Sarno will have nature to help the trees grow. At DONE she was saddled with a handful of Neighborhood Clowncil leaders, who are like Agent Orange, everywhere they go Neighborhood Councils whither and die.

Lisa Sarno aka "Gabbage Patch" was the worst thing for neighborhood council volunteers. She acted like a dictator and implemented more bureaucy then needed just to make life hell for them. She was a failure in CD14 and the community hated her. Lisa needs to take a class and learn how to work with people. She's an arrogant, snooty bitch who thinks she's above everyone. AT community meetings where there were over 40 neighborhood council reps she was blasted for her incompetence. Now neighborhood council volunteers can get back to work with her and Antonio on their backs.

CD7...
I guess I am not surprise that Alex Padilla is a true lying politician and perhaps convincing that he is corrupted in the system together with the Mayor. Padilla sent out the evidence himself to the voters in CD7. Padilla says that Alarcon has spent his entire life teaching here. Teaching what? In the Sylmar debate, Alarcon said he taught at Arleta High School for 2 years. The school has only been OPEN for about 9 months. Padilla says Alarcon will complete projects he began. I don't even know how you became Senator. Oh, yes, corruption and you had the same support from those politicians who:

1. Want to break up LAUSD
2. Keep building more homes that are Affordable Housing?, yeah! at $500,000+ a piece, I called that affordable. At least I know neighbors wont have to worry about running out of toilette paper. They can always reach to the next home, since they are so close.
3. Everytime Sylmar wanted a Fire Station built while Padilla was in city council, Padilla ignored them. He cared less about the safety of the public. He is a sorry lonely bastard.
4. Bottom line is that the letter that was sent out by Padilla says that Alarcon will finish what he started. So can Oscar Mendoza. Oscar is about the only candidate that Padilla and Villaraigosa are afraid because of the fear of breaking up their little group of corruptors that seem to control Padilla and Villaraigosa.

Don't be fooled by corruption. Why didn't Padilla mention that fact that he ignored CD7 for a long time. What happened to the Street lights. Paved roads, Neighborhood watch, gangs, drugs. Padilla is so lacking a Woman to help him. I don't mean his sweet mom. My respects to her. I am referring to a female companion and perhaps a child. I am sure that would be hard to achieve. Hell, even a male companion and an adobted child would help. Help him realize that he is not helping the people who elected him to CD7. I don't even give a hoot about him being a senator. He is working for some else who placed him in the CD7 seat.

As for Villaraigosa; he is so high on power that he has ignored the commitment to his own family. His actions speak loud. He will face his destiny just like Alarcon and Padilla.

it makes sense to me now, the day Padilla reneged on his vote in council when it was 7-6 to adopt Reyes river committee findings on recycling and thus reject Greig Smith's resolution to express opposition to Gov. Arnolds recent State recycling legislation.

right after the vote came up,7-6, Tony Cardenas jumped up,beckons to Padilla, who immediately called for reconsideration. Janice Hahn jumped up and expressed dismay that after seeing that it was 7-6, Padilla now wanted to change his vote.
Eric reconsiders, 7-6 for, and then the vote on the River committee findings again: 7-6 against. then the vote on Greig Smith's resolution 7-6 for.

after reading your post above, more pennies drop into place.

as far as Sarno, Matt Dowd says:

getting placed in million trees is akin to a kick to the kerb, in any language.

anyone got the number on how many trees so far? Lisa, can we have that? .

Lisa,

Sorry your career didn't work out at DONE. I guess the problem was that it is a position where you have to deal with people -- and listen to people -- and respond to people -- and be a part of the people. But I know it's hard to walk a straight line when you have the mayors' hand up your butt like Jim Henson's hand up Miss Piggy. Good, go plant some trees and stay out of the communities way. You have clearly demonstrated you are ineffective on BOTH sides -- hence, the kick to the curb.

putting lisa sarno in charge of million trees la, is an insult to trees. maybe they should have a million tree march to protest her arrival. However, I will say, maybe she's PERFECT for the job. She's already very experienced at dumping fertilizer all over the neighborhood (council), so maybe she's found her calling.

Doc,

You're right...I didn't write the article. I contacted LA Weekly and said, :"Excuse me...my name is Zuma Dogg and I was wondering: Could you have someone write a really good article, put my name on the byline and send me the check?"

AND AMAZINGLY THEY SAID, "You got it, ZD!"

Neighborhood Clowncil Mouseketeers had a problem with Sarno because she tried to hold them accountable. These Mouseketeers would prefer to continue running mickey mouse operations. They do not engage in outreach, would like to get rid of the Brown Act, and are incapable of policing themselves.

We can only hope the Mayor appoints an even stronger GM for Done. A GM that is ready to clean up this rodent problem.

11:49 - You sound like hitler man....

rodent problem - a bit too much, but I do agree with you. The neighborhood councils are a good concept and an excellent exercise in democracy. And in a democracy there are checks and balances and right now the neighborhood councils have no checks or balances. If they truly want legitimacy and respect they need to abide by the same rules as the professionals do. A strong DONE GM or some other agency needs to provide boundaries for NC's.

I just sharted.

If anyone is really interested in the whole Neighborhood Council set-up they might check out the Directors of Animal Welfare (DAWs) who are appointed by many Councils. They have direct ties and support several animal activists who have been under the watchful eye of the FBI. Two of their members have been arrested for animal cruelty! Some of their members reside outside of the city of LA. What gives??? Are they receiving DONE money for their activities? Lisa Sarno blew off these questions...what was she covering up?

If Lisa Sarno thinks she had it bad with DONE and NC's wait till she gets wind of what's in store for her when she gets trained by Paula Daniels, board of public works commissioner who was ousted from the million trees job by the Mayor. I wish Lisa good luck in taking full rein of the project. Paula Daniels has a tight grip on the project and is reluctant to let it go, she pissed off a lot of people in the process and in spite of the fact it was turned over to the Mayor's office continues to act as if its her project. If Lisa Sarno is as tough as she sounds there may be some interesting times ahead with this project.

Most of the identified posts here from Dogg and Dodd, two double consanant losers who couldn't get elected to a neighborhood council board because they were too whacked even for that.

And when you can't get elected to a NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL board, when it only takes 50-100 in most areas to get and maintain a seat forever, well . . .

Loser's too good a word.

But you'll always have Mayor Sam's, "Home of the L.A. loser" -- right Wacko Walter.

This is the old folks homes for people so out of touch with the city, they have to form their own organizations and appoint themselves the "resident" experts of it.

Who's next, Dr. Susan Block? Fred Brito? Hal Netkin?

After March 6, you should also invite Johnny Jay Jimenez. He, like Zuma, can easily punch out 2,000 words per post, and still say nothing but "look at me, I'm insane, but I crave attention!'

The answer to that quandry is "editors" - The Weekly had someone one staff (capable of doing something ZD can't) "edit" gibberish until is sounds halfway intelligent.

That must have taken them the whole week.

Can you imagine what the draft Zuma first handed in must have read like. You don't have to - pick any post, and realize it's stream of altered-consciousness.

MESSAGE TO ALL THE ZD HATERS OF MY LA WEEKLY ARTICLE WHO THINK I HAD LESS TO DO WITH IT THAN ANOTONIO HAS TO DO WITH THE CITY:

First of all, I already told all of y'all, Jill kept ZD on a tight leash cause the paper has a different journalistic standard than a ZD blog rant. I appriciate the fact that Jill liked my spirit and was willing to mentor me for my first LA Weekly article.

So that's why it came out better. Most of the damn article is quotes from people at SCAG and others. So all ZD really did, was type up the transcript of the interviews. Then add some transitions and set-ups.

BUT HERE'S SOMETHING I EMAILED TO KEVIN RODERICK I MAY AS WELL BREAK DOWN FOR ALL OF Y'ALL...

ZD may be suffering from hard times now, and he is a square peg in the round hole of society, and his creative/artistic/venice beach side ended up taking over and sidetracking a good, national career. So, since some of you are actually losing sleep and posting at 5:00am over ZD's LA Weekly article, I'll reveal this:

Before ZD was created, like Joker was created in Batman movie -- I was a writer with a weekly international column for Billboard magazine and oversaw the content of a number of other subsidiary trades for the corportation.

Also did consultant work in the radio and record industry and had my article printed in numerous national and international trades like Radio and Records, Quality Digest and lots of internet sites. (Before blogs.)

My specialties were "Methods for Management of Qualtiy and Productivity" (as prescribed by Dr. W, Edwards Deming) and "Marketing Warfare and Strategy" (as prescribed by Al & Laura Ries and Jack Trout). Plus, I was known as the research guru, cause I was able to look at the numbers and interpret them in ways no one else seemed to be able to.

Deming, Ries, Trout, Anthony Robbins, and tons of corporate big shots at Sony, Time-Warner and others have all sent their letters of thanks to DE/ZD for his innovative writing. Pretty boring, high-brow stuff.

So now, you'll say I'm bragging. But, maybe if some of y'all knew I was a writer before I was a rapper, you may sleep a little better.

So what happened to DE? My parents would sure like to know? I moved out to California for radio buisness. and slowly, but surely, my artistic/creative/venice beach side took over. And here we are today. Here are two quotes from some of the stuff before LA Weekly

"Very well done" - Dr. W. Edwards Deming

"I think your synthesis is fabulous" - Anthony Robbins
