Reminder from Greuel & Riordan: ‘This is a campaign. Sometimes you exaggerate, sometimes you embellish, or whatever.’
Here's an interesting quote from LA WEEKLY article on the "True Intent of Prop. R." But they could have called it, "This Doesn't Make Wendy Greuel Look To Good to Constituents".
FROM LA WEEKLY: Councilmember Wendy Greuel defended the Prop. R mailers [that the City Controller's office called, "duplicitous and intentionally deceiving".] "This is a campaign," she said. "I was talking to Dick Riordan on Saturday, and we chatted about it," the councilwoman added. "And Riordan said, "Listen, this is a campaign. That's what you do. Sometimes you exaggerate, sometimes you embellish, or whatever."
I guess "whatever" means, "duplicitous and intentionally deceiving". Funny, if you are campaigning for something constitutional and ethical you don't need to resort to exaggerations, embellishments, duciplitdeceptivenessptfulness, or whatever, Councilmember Greuel and Richard Riordan.

Wendy Greuel has to face the Sunland-Tujunga community tomorrow night in a community meeting about Home Depot!
I hope someone remembers to bring the bar-b-que sauce!

Wendy Greuel is a lying, slickster
who does not give a good G__ D___ about her constituents. She lies, makes false promises and keeps her ulterior motives carefully hidden.
Wendy Greuel professes to be open and transparent, but answers protests by saying that meetings should be kept small and private so as to not muddy the waters.
Wendy Greuel has a giant war chest. What for? It has been thirty-five years or so since a Clowncil member has been defeated.

I will be attending the community meeting tonight because we already know Divaraigosa has sold us out to Home Depot and now I'm afraid Wendy has also. Oh, too, too many photo ops recently at the side of Divaraigosa. Looks like she can't stand on her own two feet anymore....we may be sold down the river..

Wendy Greuel is actually a great human being who comes out of a different tradition of politics than the rest of the Council. I think her comments don't help her, but they come from a place inside her that is simply far too honest to dissemble. It's painful, but she is so much better than any alternative, it's not even a discussion.
The Measure R strategy was a botch. But it's almost worth voting for just to give Wendy a shot at an additional four years. For a good councilmember, eight years isn't enough. For the rest of 'em...four years is too much!

I don't want Wendy the CITY COUNCIL DIVA to rule over me and my compadres for 4 more years. She is bipolar.

Will it be money or votes that wins out on this Home Depot fight? You know what they say about money and power, and what the meaning of is is.
The suspense, oh the suspense.
Power, power who wants power? Going, going, gone!

Wendy can not lose in March, she is running unopposed. Why would she need a "warchest"?

I also am suing the city, directly Wendy Greuel for her corruption. I don't just say shes crooked, I prove it. See the evidence on my new site.
