The LA Times is reporting that two more finalists have been added to the short list of candidates to follow retiring Los Angeles Unified School District Superintendent Roy Romer. The candidates include David L. Brewer III, who retired from the Navy this year and Maria Ott, a former senior Los Angeles schools administrator who runs the Rowland Unified School District.
Rep. Xavier Becerra has filed a complaint with the FCC against the Tonight Show's Jay Leno for hosting Governor Schwarzenegger on his show but not Becerra's fellow Democrat, Gubenatorial candidate Phil Angelides.
Former Gil Cedillo staffer and current Program Director Coro's Health Leadership Program - Edward Headington - has added a new gig. He'll be the publicist for the Los Angeles Press Club.
The City Council has cancelled its regular meeting for this Friday. The reason? Since a number of members are in Asia with Mayor Villaraigosa, and the usual number of no-shows, there won't be a quorom. Might as well, its Friday the 13th anyway.

Does anyone know if Duke Hefland of LA Slimes is gay? You would think he is the way his puff, gushy piece on Antonio reads in today's paper. The only men who write that way about another man are usually gay. No heterosexual man would be so complimentary to another man.
Meruelo is turning out to be another paper tiger, just like Tony the Liar. But just like Tony, like father like son. Meruelo's father in Miami has been sued over and over again for being a slumlord and for bilking 100's of old Jewish tenants out of their retirement nest eggs when he converted their apartment buildings into condos. A chip off the old block just like Tony. Except while the Meruelo's are leaving a trail of real estate fraud, Tony and his dad have left a trail of abandoned families that they started.
How much stock is Tony Jr. getting from Meruelo's SEC filing?

Last readed, P.R. Specialist,eerrrr, Scribe Duke Helfand was regaling us with "HIS POLLONESS" at a Modeling Show featuring clothing made in L.A. Seated with "friend" Labor Leader, Maria Elena Durazo, POLLO was treated to show featuring "SKINNY MODELS" (HELFAND WORDS).
THOUGHT TO PONDER, one ha sto feel for Durazo after reading article in Weekly titled "WHAT A HAND JOB WILL GET YOU", pretaining to the Leland Wong Trail. Her late husband Miguel Contreas was spending alot of time at the "BONEAVENTURE". Today POLLO tarvels to some SMOG ECRUSTED coastal city. Wondering if "HIS POLLONESS" will call out the Chinese leadership for their lack of commitment to environmental regulation???? TOUR CONTINUES....
It doesn't matter if Hefland is gay or not. That's immaterial. However, his piece on the Mayor was extremely poor journalism and more like something one would expect from the Mayor's press office.

You can add to that list Patrick "in the pocket" McGreevy who doesn't research shit and writes what Parks tells him. Richard Winton anoter lazy ass reporter and Jessica Villagarrison. Remember her puff pieces showing her love and groupieness for his highness during the campaign. It was pathetic to say the least for a reporter. She made no bones of letting everyone know she had the hots for our midget mayor. Interesting LA Slimes didn't report on Lisa Sarno aka Gabbage Patch having her interim term extended like the other papers. Get rid of them all!!!!

"LIBERALIDES" continues his Jay Leno protest over the appearence of the "KENNEDY REPUBLICAN" on last night show. Can we now call the govenor race over? I can think of one Democrat who is sheding crocodile tears over the wreakage that is the LIBERALIDES Campaign. Hint, not even in the country at present time.

Nothing but girlie men being put forth by the CA Democratic Party this year.
