This old, dead Republican Mayor has had his troubles with Adelphia internet service before.

Starting Sunday morning, the damn thing went from not working, to working while I was on hold with customer service (though running like molasses in Nova Scotia in December) to not working at all in the middle of placing an online shopping order. (Vons, not porn in case you dum dums were wondering).

Thanks to Councilman John for filling in.

Now, it seems to be working. Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope that its a combination of the heat whacking up their equipment and more than the usual number of cool seeking folks staying home to net surf. By the way, the dimwits at Adelphia "customer service" couldn't offer up a repairman until Thursday between 1-5pm. Now how convenient is that.

Adelphia is a shitty company. Not only is it a shitty company, but its a crooked company. Greedy, shitty, crooked companies who don't serve their customers, let down their investors and allegedly cook their books eventually get theirs. The family that founded and owned Adelphia got theirs.

I understand that very soon in this portion of the City of Los Angle-leez that Adelphia will be pushed aside for the folks at Time Warner Cable (DISCLOSURE: Mayor Sam owns about one share of stock of TWC). Through my business, I've had excellent experience with Time Warner's Road Runner product in other markets, and look forward to using it over Adelphia's crappy Power-Klink service.

It couldn't happen fast enough!
