$#@%! Adelphia

Mayor Sam's home fort is still down so you guessed it, no St. Paddy Day's froth from this old dead, Republican Mayor. However, thanks again to Joe O'Mailander for his clovers. Feel free to use this as an open thread. In the meantime, here's an Irish blessing for ya:

May the light always find you on a dreary day.
When you need to be home, may you find your way.
May you always have courage to take a chance
And never find frogs in your underpants.

May there always be work for your hands to do.
May your purse always hold a coin or two.
May the sun always shine on your windowpane.
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
May God fill you heart with gladness to cheer you.

May your blessings out number
The Shamrocks that grow
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go.
May your troubles be less
And your blessing be more
And nothing but happiness
Come through your door.

Slainte!

May Figueroa always rise to meet you. May the Santa Anas always be at your back. May the Disney Hall's refraction shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your adaptive re-use housing, and, until we meet again, may the mayor's machine hold you in the palm of its hand.

funny how schools believe that having a joint agrrement with parks department allow them to ask the city officials for Prop K park money. SOmeone should be looking into that before the mayor allows all of the park funds to disappear

also, someone should start questioning why the park department managers want to take away park funds from places like my park where people have paid fees for classes or donated to our park for baseball uniform sponorship....we are being told it is for moving money to support the swimming pools. Is this the right thing to do ????

And they've taken all the gold out your sack
Be best advised, I'll tell ya Mac
When Villaraigosa is behind your back!

There once was a young lad named Weiss
Who often failed to heed some advice
While dreaming of Wendy
He got rather friendly
And woke up with his own in a vise!
