On this day in 1934, Ralph Nader was born in Winsted, Connecticut. Nader would revolutionize consumer advocacy with his 1965 book, Unsafe at Any Speed: The Designed-In Dangers of the American Automobile, in which he lambasted the safety standards of the Big Three automotive manufacturers.

Ralph can rot in hell - he is why George W is now Presidient. He took those invaluable votes away from Al and so he is why our great country is going to hell so he can to!
Absurd. Bush is president because Kerry styled himself as a pale imitation. Had Kerry had the guts to adopt even a bit of Nader's platform (which was the reason Ralph ran in the first place), he would have had a landslide. And you are technically wrong as well--Nader swung no states to Bush.
Ralph and his ideas may be the last best hope for this nation, before we ALL rot in hell.

Ever stop to think that it is voter dissillusionment with Democrats that drives them to vote for Nader? Don't blame him, blame the lack of balls at the DNC.

so by being disillusioned they allow George W to win - someone who takes our country to new lows and lies, cheats and causes thousands to die. Now that makes sense - let Ralphy play that card to weasel out of being the guy who was the deal breaker. I sure hope he sleeps well at night knowing what he stood for.
While 95% of the Democratic Party was waving flags in supprt of this war and the Patriot Act, Ralph had the cojones to stand up--mind yuo, at a time when the majority of the country agreed with Ralph, not the 2 party war machine. Had Kerry simply had the cojones to stand up in supprt of the majority of the country, he wuold have won in a landlside. Your invectives against Ralph do not change that simple fact. And if you think a Democrat is any less likely to take us into a wat through lies, stop cursing for an hour or two and read a little (recent) history. This is a democracy my friend, and if you have a problem with someone running on a platform opposing war at a time when both parties SUPPORT a bullsh*t war, then you should study up on democracy too.
My dear dum dum - there wasn't even thought of a war when Al Gore ran for President. Ralph took those precious and invaluble votes away - too bad he didn't stay with the Corvair because now his legacy is as spoiler. The death of so many are on his head.
