Rich Diversity
Tomorrow's Los Angeles Times will reveal a story regarding Mayor Villaraigosa's City Commission appointments.
Rich, glowing and full of diversity -- Patrick McGreevy wrote a fair and balanced piece that points out the weaknesses in the picks, but more importantly shows that the new Mayor will pick those who knocked on the cement doors of government only to have them opened up in this administration.
One of my personal favorite new commissioners is Gordon Murley - President of the Woodland Hills Homeowners Assoc -- he is just like me - - old, grumpy and full of energy.
Congrats to our new Mayor and new commissioners like Murley.

Is Morely a habitual liar?
Does ne know where Villaraigosa's 80 FAKE neighborhood watches are hiding??
(You do, Faker, but YOU won't tell!)

Murley had to PROMISE AV not to ask about the fake 80 watches Parker lied about, to get his commission seat.

Is it true the first 80 commission seats AV names are ALSO fake? He's just pulling their legs for a laugh?

Head of an HOA, hmmmm, those are the kind of people that have always ruled the city. They didn't need commission seats.
That was what the more inclusive neighborhood council stakeholder definitions were intended to reverse, to make room for a more diverse representation to the city government.
Sounds like AV's taking a step back in time. Back to the fiefdoms of the perty owners -- screw the renters, leaseholders, and the disenfranchised hundreds of thousands like the homeless.
AV is mainstreaming, trying to become the land baron-coddling capitalist just in time for th next governors race.

PEOPLE, get real.
John Edwards isn't this creative. He's a boring old windbag. But that ain't a crime either.
But isn't lying about creating 80 neighborhood watches while a CM a crime, especially if the lies are MAILED through the USPS mail system?
Isn't that like mail fraud, like sending a fradulent bill if you're like, OH, say F-H?
It sure should be. . .

YOU SEE RIGHT THROUGH ME, I must be a member of those fake, top secret neighborhood watches!

Chief Parker,
Do you have any insight as to whether Huizar has fired any of his inept staff.
You know:
1) Laura (Ghetto girl) Barrera,
2) Alvin (Time has come and gone) Parra,
3) Daivid (I'm a personal friend of Alber Robles), or
4) Monica (No experience) Garcia.
Please share any insight and if you agree Huizar could lose because of his lousy campaign staff.

Laura Barrera is still ghetto. Has anyone seen her interact with the community. she treats community folks like they are her homeboys and her peers like they are always hanging out at the bar.
what a disgrace to the profession of staffing.

hey chief, why don't you ever call your friends? I heard you made two blondes kiss eachother - and you at the same time - on the strip a while back. YEAH! I bet you look damn good in a cowboy hat. Liberals are HOT, or so some girl told your friend as he had his way with her! You should re-register as a dem and make some phone calls for Pacheco.

This isn't about "attacking" you, Chief Faker. This is about DIScrediting your DIShonest self as a lying, partisan hack hiding behind some anonymous avatar. You'd say anything to promote Villaraigosa or Villaraigosa-lite (Huizar).
Now people will know, and no one will take ANYthing you say seriously.

Its pretty safe to assume that all our new "stellar" commissionars, like the last batch:
1) Gave Villaraigosa the max contributions.
2) Held fundraisers for him in the first half of 2005.
Ho Hum! The more things change, the more they stay the same. Just a new breed of shills and cronies.

Daily Breeze reports in August 2005 that Villaraigosa is favoring the WESTSIDE for commission appointments.
L.A. Times reports in early 2005 that the WESTSIDE is favoring Villaraigosa in terms of contributions to his mayoral campaign.
Need to hear anymore?
To the "victor" belongs the "spoils" -- and then the process of democratic governing and the equitable distribution of resources and city services just keeps getting more and more "spoiled" every day.
This really is just another Hahn term, with a new caretaker -- Antonio.

Seems the LA reporters are finally printing the facts. Antonio must have known he would get nailed for appointing all his campaign endorsers and friends. Didn't he say he would "clean up city hall" and now he's proving he's no better.
Anonymous said:
I hear people complaining about Antonio's commission picks but I don't hear anyone complaining about a specific commissioner. Do somebody have something against one of them? Are they not qualified for the position they now hold? Or are you just pissed off for no good reason because its taht time of the month.
I don't think any of you can get specific on this blog

All anyone has to do is watch Cable 35 channel the city council last Wednesday when they were confirmed. The questions from Padilla and Cardenas were simple and they should have known the answers but they didn't. How could they not be informed on important issues such as the flexible work schedule? It was pathetic.

I think Gordon Murley is an excellent choice! Excellent! He will turn the South Valley Planning Commission on it's head. It will be fun. Good choice Antonio.
Now, I'll register a complaint about a specific appointment. North Valley Area Planning - Vic Sampson. I can't believe it. He already had his turn there. Why is he back? Where is the change going on in the North Valley?
How many trips did Hal Bernson have to make to City Hall to get his boss appointed? Doesn't anybody find it odd that the very place where Hal Bernson has been "hanging his hat" since the day he left City Council has been at Vic Sampson's Coldwell Banker office in Porter Ranch? The one right underneath S&S Homes?
What about Vic's property on De Soto that he has been waiting to re zone?
