Tony Villar Get Your Ass on KABC

Open letter to Antonio "Tony Villar" Villaraigosa.

Mayor Sam is going to vote for you because you have some good ideas, but mostly because you're not Jim Hahn.

Jim Hahn has been a disaster for this city, and you can do far better. Therefore I'm putting it on the line and doing as I did in 2001 and reluctantly voting for you. (As everyone knows Mayor Sam voted for Bob Hertzberg in the primary and in 2001 voted for Joel Wachs).

But there is one thing I am calling upon you to do. Accept the offer from hosts on KABC Talkradio to appear on their show. It can be Doug McIntyre or Al Rantel, whomever. Going on Brian Whitman or Leo Terrell's show doesn't count.

Alcalde Hahn de Caca has been appearing regularly on those programs and lying through his teeth about your record. To top it off, yesterday they gave three hours of airtime to Wacko Walter!!!! The Mayor is portratying himself as some sort of law and order Republican and you as a socialist, Mexican nationalist. You have to rebut.

KABC voters vote in big numbers. There are the dedicated hardcord right wing nuts who won't vote for you, but thousands of other listeners who were on the fence are getting their impression of you from Mayor Poopy and Wacko Walter, among all of the folks Hal Netkin probably has calling in claiming all kinds of wild things.

Meat, or someone pass this on to Tony. I know he doesn't want to waste his time with the right wing nuts on that station - but Tony can go on there, be himself, agree to disagree and suck it up.

Otherwise you risk that piece of crap Jim Hahn defining you on a near daily basis on that station.

Yes Tony, please go on KABC. Let us see how you handle all those right wing nuts. They'll make mince MEAT out of you. And Mayor Sam, if Hahn is lying, why are Tony supporters abandoning his campaign. No Mayor Sam, Hahn isn't lying - the truth, however, is coming out. Go on Parke, put Tony on KABC, we all need a good laugh.

Isn't that ironic, Mayor Sam - having Hahn define Tony on a daily basis after Tony has been definng Hahn since last October. What a major screw up by Parke. You doesn't mobilize the Latino base for Tony - because you and your staff can't - so Tony needs to rely on the republican and conservative dmocratic voters from the valley. But what do you do, HIDE. Hertzberg's endorsement is having no appeal, you guys shouldn't have let Gloria join you on stage - she sure did tip the scales. So please, put him on KABC, let's see how well your bumper sticker one liners go over.

One Reason to Vote for Mayor Hahn: Villaraigosa’s Opposition to Gang Injunctions as Head of the ACLU
Filed under: State and Local Politics — So Cal Lawyer@ 9:24 pm
The Daily Breeze has this report on barbs traded over Hahn’s stance in support of anti-gang injunctions and Villaraigosa’s historical efforts to block them:

Hahn said the Blythe Street injunction — which was ultimately upheld in court — helped the neighborhood reduce graffiti and bring down violent crime. And he argued that the area would not have had a resurgence if the injunction had been blocked.

“What if the ACLU had won? What if we weren’t successful in beating Antonio Villaraigosa and the ACLU and the gang members?” Hahn said, adding: “How many people would have been victims of crimes like rape, assault, even murder?”

Villaraigosa dismissed Hahn’s comments, saying the mayor is on the attack because he failed to fulfill a 2001 campaign promise to hire 1,000 police officers. Three months ago, Villaraigosa won passage of a proposal that he co-authored to add roughly 280 officers to the LAPD.

Asked specifically about the Blythe Street injunction, the councilman said he had supported such measures “where they make sense.”

“Very clearly, some of those gang injunctions back then were too broad,” he said. “They weren’t appropriate legally. Now they’re much more specific.”

The FBI has the tapes? They should make them public to get the entire picture of what happened cleared. Linda Breakstone knows who pushed the others to write the viganli letters?

Nah, it wasn't the extramarital affairs. That's to be expected from scumbag Tony. Parke and Barkan have had their own marriage troubles so they obviously think Tony is immune. It was the FBI Vignali tapes that Linda Breakstone has. Let's see, Mahoney flies in today from Rome and he is celebratin ga mass tomorrow at 11:30 AM at the Cathedral of St. Vignali. Think Linda will be there?

Remember guys, keep on the thread otherwise Mayor Sam will delete your posts. So here another KABC question:

Tony, did you ever contact Cardinal Mahoney regarding Vignali?

Tony, at the Blessing of the Animals last month, you pulled Cardinal Mahoney aside for a private discussion, care to elaborate?

Tony, with the new hard line Pope can Cardinal mahoney adminster the sacrament of the eucharist to you?

Is poor little ADV running scared?

Is he hiding in the coatroom from big bad McIntyre and Rantel and Handle and Prager and anyone else that get's double-digit listener percentages in drivetime?

Wants to be mayor of a major city, but can't answer direct questions from any major radio or TV news or talk show in a one-to-one setting?

NOW, has to have RSVPs from his own constituents before he shows up. (Why so 'fraid little Tony -- the "recall" is supposed to be just a scam? And YOU know about SCAMS, don't you!!)

Poor baby, maybe Sesame Street needs a new MARE?

"Mayor Tony, the Truthless Tigre?"

He can't go on radio, because they ask follow-up questions and drill down until the truth comes out.

And that's a problem for ADV, because. . .

He's a pathological liar who can't be trusted to do anything he promises.

Someone prove me wrong - otherwise, nothing else in the race matters.

I rest my case!

WHY WHY WHY?

Why would AV go on KABC to listen and be bashed by idiots whose best line is "he's a liar prove me wrong"?

There are very few people who listen to that garbage that still have a semblance of objectivity and want to get real information. Just because Hahn was dumb enough to expose himself to that mindless banter doesn't mean that Antonio should as well. Come on folks, we're here to win by turning out people that believe that Antonio will do the best for the city - not whiners who have nothing better to do than to gossip about alleged sexual misconduct and a 9 year old letter that was written to the White House.

I am so sick of all your innuendoes and hearsay about Antonio' alleged sexual antics. I can't believe the levels to which Yahn lovers have stooped to. It's despicable! If there is a confirmed sexual misconduct – that’s fair game – but please don’t make stuff up just to pretend you’re in the know. It only goes to prove you don’t know anything.

If you want to talk about lapses in judgment then let's discuss the wife beaters that were pleaded down or not even brought to court. Talk about releasing menaces to society!

FROM MEAT:

You wanna talk about ethical lapses - who do you think had the first ethical lapse in this city once the Ethic ommission was set up?

Not Antonio Villaraigosa.

Wanna talk about criminal activity -- let's ignore for one second the FBI investigation, 2 grand juries and the District Attorney, may we just ignore them for one second, please? Thanks.

I wanna talk about that poor family in the San Fernando Valley whose daughter was taken away from them because of Jim Hahn's antics as City Attorney. The case is about 10 years old now, but i suppose the grief of that family is enough to come out and talk on the record finally, about an abusive husband who beat his wife, constantly. It's about a City Attorney who had an established record of letting wife beaters go, to the point of one actually following through and killing his wife, with an AX no less.

Yes, Jim Hahn, ethical lapses that lead not only to FBI investigations, but people's death as well. Let's vote for that guy!

blog away dum-dums.

I don't know what you crack hoes are talking about in terms of an entire thread being deleted. Sounds like conspiratorial bullshit to me.

However, as I usually do, I found one little post with unfounded accusations accusing Tony Villar of criminal activities. As I have told those of you on the Mayor's side who keep doing this, come through with evidence and we'll let you post. Hell yea, if you had anything credible I would love to post and get the credit for the scoop (and the traffic). But you fail me so far.

I also deleted a post that was a complete copy of a non-related article already here on the blog.

I didn't realize you Hahn people are as desperate as you are. Quite shameful.

Must have been one long consultation with Parke, Ace and Barkan before MEAT finally responded. And what are you talking about Ullysees? How many people were hurt by Hahn's alleged mishandling of abuse cases and how many people have been hurt by Tony's oposition to gang injunctions. 15 deaths in CD 14 this year alone and counting. Does Tony have any solutions?

As for you, Mustang, is that short for Mustang Ranch. I'm sure your boy Tony has been there. That "mindless banter" your're talking about translates into votes. For Tony to win they would have to be "mindless votes." As a liberal democrat, Hahn isn't exactly preaching to the choir here. But a person with character will stand by his principles and those with opposing political views will respect that. Tell your boy Tony to grow some balls, then you can make a case for him.

MEAT, you want to talk about ethical lapses. Don't you know you are pushing for Tony - don't even go there. Let's see, did Hahn take a knife to anyone? Did Hahn write a letter for Vignali, Baca did, as City Attorney I'm sure he was approached - maybe even by Tony.

Mustang your arguments add up to horse meat and MEAT your arguments are just horse shit. Go back to the drawing board - I'm sure Parke is waiting for you.

Mayor Sam, the thread you deleted didn't accuse Tony of criminal activity. The thread were just sample questions for KABC. The questions were:

Tony, where were you on the night of March 17, 1975?
Is this question that much of a threat?

Tony, did you get kicked out of that Catholic High School for dealing drugs? Tony's reason for getting kicked out was that he partook in a racially tinged fight with mostly white St. Francis High. All his friends and his neighborhood know this isn't true, it's just Tony using the race card again.

Tony, does your wife still live with you? That's a perfectly legitimate question for someone running as a family man. Hahn would answer this question.

Stop censoring Mayor Sam. If anything, Parke can use these questions to prep Tony if he ever goes on KABC.

Right, the only one tarnishing dreams is Antonio Villaraigosa, but it does not stop their...his opposition to gang injunctions caused deaths and much sorrow to many families. What do you say to those families? (flip flopping) "I used to be against injunctions but now I'm not!"

The people remember! You underestimate the people you hurted through your support of gangs and history against gang injunctions.

Hillary's Brother Returns Pardon Money
NewsMax.com
Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001
The brother-in-law of former President Bill Clinton received nearly $400,000 for successfully lobbying for a pardon and a prison commutation that Clinton granted on his last day in office, the Associated Press and TV networks reported this evening.
Attorney Hugh Rodham, brother of Sen. Hillary Clinton, was paid for work on the prison commutation request of Carlos Vignali and received a "success fee" for helping win the pardon of Almon Glenn Braswell, sources said.

Rodham returned the payment in the past 24 hours at the Clintons' request, according to news reports.

"This is deeply troubling," a House Government Reform Committee source told Fox News, "and the committee is looking into it."

Clinton issued this statement after the story broke:

"Yesterday, I became aware of press inquiries that Hugh Rodham received a contingency fee in connection with a pardon application by Glenn Braswell and a fee for work on the Carlos Vignali commutation application. Neither Hillary nor I had any knowledge of such payments. We are deeply disturbed by these reports, and insisted that Hugh return any monies involved."

WILLIAM BENNETT, CO-DIRECTOR, EMPOWER AMERICA: Those guys were very polite, Larry. Mr. Vignali went to jail because he was involved in distributing 800 pounds of cocaine. His lawyer said, no, it wasn't that bad, just a thousand kilos of cocaine.

Do you have any idea of how much damage 1,000 kilos of cocaine can do? Well, 800 pounds of cocaine could effectively provide one rock of crack for every kid in Los Angeles. It's 1,000 kilos less, but still, a substantial amount of cocaine.

There are black co-defendants who are still in jail and will be for a long time. But Carlos Vignali is now out. He is a white man. KING: Because he had influence...

BENNETT: Because he has money; he has influence; and he has the ear of the president. This was the president who lectured us about the discrepancy between crack and powder. Larry, some liberals have been worried about my appearance on this show, as you know, because they were afraid I would say what I'm going to say right now. I told you so. I have been telling you this for as long as you and I have been talking about this matter.

KING: And you are saying what tonight?

BENNETT: Larry, I said in August of 1998 on your show, and in "The Wall Street Journal," I said we are not done with this guy, more shoes will drop, more doors will open. Because this is a corrupt man.

I said several times, you remember, in several conversations that when I went to see a senior Democratic senator and told him that he should go with his colleagues to see President Clinton -- then- President Clinton -- and tell him to resign, he said it wouldn't do any good. I said, well, it may not do any good in terms of him leaving, but it will do your party some good because if you don't go to do that, and if you don't disassociate yourself from Clinton, you will make a pact with the devil. I don't know if you saw Bob Herbert's column in "New York Times" today...

KING: I did. Yes.

BENNETT: ...but he used exactly that language: a pact with the devil. Finally, Larry, I think I said over and over again; I know I have got a lot of hate mail and I'm sure I will get some more tonight:the Clintons are corrupt, and corrupting. They are corrupting themselves, they are corrupting in others; they are a disgrace to this country; they are despicable people.

Bob Herbert said today in the "New York Times," this is a terminally -- terminally unethical and vulgar couple who have betrayed the trust of everybody who ever believed in them. You know, I'm sorry to say I told you so, but it did not take rocket science to figure out what these people were about and who they are. Character is destiny in these kinds of jobs, and it comes across...

LAUREL: Councilman, I asked you a direct question...

Gotta love the logic -- Hahn is MORE unethical, because he plea-bargained some hoods down to make sure they spent some time on jail, than TONY, who begged to get a BIG TIME hood OUT of jail, the when cops had him dead to rights (for payola).

Get a new dictionary, folks, the getting little thugs to confess to lesser crimes when you can't pin the full beef on them is what good prosecutors do. It's glass-half-full.

What ADV did for Vignali is empty, dirty, glass for people he killed and maimed with his poison.

"Sorry" don't cut that ADV -- you're not fit to serve the public (and NO good at it, either!)
