Hertzberg takes on John and Ken

KFIListening in this evening on the drive home, I caught Hertzberg on KFI with John and Ken. While very dangerous turf for most pols, he was in studio taking them head on.

It started with Bob's traffic plan. Went over well. They moved on to the budget proposals he has been harping. Again, went over well. Next up, the Economic Development plan released yesterday. Kudos for immediately owning up to the fact that he was chair of the group. This to went over well.

The summary closed with multiple examples of things done and a challenge for them to hold his feet to the fire. The others have been invited. Can they survive?

It would be great to see all these guys have the cojones to go on that show.

Check this out from Luke Ford's blog:

'Heal A Child. Plant A Tree.'

Los Angeles mayoral candidate Antonio Villaragosa spoke at Friday Night Live January 14. He was particularly vapid.
He urged us to "go speak to someone who doesn't speak your language."
If you don't share a language with somebody, how can you speak to them? If you happen to be bilingual and share a language, then your second language is your language.
Antonio urged us to "heal a child. And plant a tree."
He said "mitzvah" meant a deed of kindness, when it really means a divine obligation. It is mitzvah to not eat pork, but that is no deed of kindness unless you are a pig.
Antonio described America as "a country founded on slavery."

Hahn would never have the balls in a million years to go on John and Ken. He barely came in for the cream puffs thrown by Doug McIntyre (who should have known better though I understand where he was coming from).
