Biden: Obama is the first "clean" African-American?

I predicted here on Mayor Sam that it'd be Obama-Biden five days before it was announced, back on August 17th.

Without mentioning who I think would be the best President, I would like the Obama-mamas to comment on the following.

1. If Obama is about "Change," why did he choose a 65 year old Senator who has been in the Senate since he's 29? He's been in D.C. longer than John McCain! What happened to "Change"?

2. Biden, in 2008, said about Obama's inexperience, that
"...the Presidency is no place for on-the-job-training."

3. Biden, an admitted plagiarist, in 2008, referred to Obama as "...the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy," Biden said.

I still predict that McCain + anyone will defeat Obama, especially with Biden. I am not saying which way I am voting. It's just how I think it'll go. It will be very interesting watching.

But everyone in Los Angeles should be grateful, however, that Obama had the wisdom to give no TV speaking time to Mayor PromoteMe-Raigosa. We hear that Jack Weiss, the mayor's girlfriend, is very upset about it. But Rocky Delga-dodo must be having a great laugh about it!

I give it a week before Biden sticks his foot in his mouth......he is known for making off the cuff remarks that come back to bite him. So much for change huh?

1. Well, that one's kinda a no-brainer. To effect change, you gotta get elected. And it helps to have someone along with you who knows their shit help you make those changes. Joe B. knows his shit.

2. As the Dalai Lama likes to say, "Things Change". You can make all the statements you want based on the information you have at the time. Time has shown Bear Bear to be ready. Joe B. can show our young padowan the ways of the Force.

3. If we're going to get into a pissing match over "Who's More Unethical or Immoral", let's call Carol McCain, or the Charity that C*nty McTrollop stole her drugs from for a comment, shall we?.

And good lord, if you're gonna call Joey B. on every stupid thing he's ever said, well... it's gonna be a looooooong three months.

Hi Valley D-

Are you saying that it's okay for Obama to go around claiming he's a "change agent" just to get elected?

It also appears you're saying that, since Obama doesn't know his shit, it's good for him to have someone along who does?

As for the allegations you're making about someone stealing drugs, please provide a link to a BONAFIDE, known source.

I'd be glad to check it out if you respond to these questions. You seem to be making a case for Obama doing whatever it takes to get elected, and then choosing a guy who's been in DC even longer than McCain.

Note, even though I think Biden is the wrong choice, I think he's a very bright guy; probably with better quals than Obama to be Pres.

Last point: I'm not the one calling Joe B. on every crazy comment. CNN and Fox News are doing it. So is the WSJournal and NY Times.

It's relevant. It's what cost Biden his 1988 campaign. And click on the link I provided to CNN, not exactly a right wing organization, where it shows BIDEN saying OBAMA "isn't ready."

He said this just a few months ago. Right after he said he was the first "clean, articulate..."African American.

CNN.....not exactly right wing.

Valley D -

And if you're going to call McCain, "McCrypt," please note that Biden has had TWO well published BRAIN ANEURYSMS that nearly killed him.

I can provide a link, but imagine you can readily find this on CNN or NYT, et al.

And what does a brain aneurysm have to do with age?

Biden was 46 when he had them...and Stephanie Tubbs-Jones (RIP), was 57...

Just a couple of thoughts.

Would a Republican be on the short list for V.P. if he or she utter the "Clean Black Comments?

Did Barack undergo "change processes" through the use of drugs?? ...and that issue about dealing.......

And about Cindy, her problems with drugs did not affect her love for America, contrary to the "drug of anger" that afflicted Michelle Obama and her views on America.

Big Hugs!!

Haikula... I feel for you and everyone who thought perhaps Obama would be a different politician.

They're always the same in the end.

As for VDoll's McCrypt comment, that's part of the Mayor Sam world. We need to be able to have fun with politics, otherwise we'd all probably blow our brains out.

(Call me cynical....)

What it has to do is, if someone questions McCain's health, which is fine by all accounts, others' health is fair game.

McCain hasn't had a melanoma in five years, but they still talk about it as if it's some pending doom.

And if age is an issue, keep in mind that Biden is just five years younger than McCain.

Now who's the crypt-keeper?

And if someone cranks about how long McCain has been in DC, guess what? Biden has been a Senator even longer.

It's a two-way street.

I happen to like ALL of these people. But I think this was not a good pick. Except if you're a Republican

Petrafied, I did NOT think Obama would be a different politician!

I sensed that he was a phony from the get-go.

Note that I've not said who I prefer or how I'm voting. I'm just sharing some thoughts.

AND YES -----> JACK WEISS, THE MAYOR'S GIRLFRIEND! It just came to me! Glad you enjoyed it!

See? I'm not so bad, so put up with the bad haikus once in a while.

How can Obama be "black" According to records he's 1/2 white, only 1/6 black and the balance of his gene make up is Arab. Does the 1/6 black trump the rest of his genes? Or, is it more useful to play the "Black" race card. As far as I am concerned that is the only change I can see him responsible for in the White House. Please tell me something sensational that is going to make the U.S. a better and more secure country in live in.
What "change" is he personally going to be responsible for that will make an impact for the better?

The choice of Biden makes no sense, not only did he vote for the war he also approved the surge. Obama is not about change, change will never come out of the Chicago machine ever!

No, actually I'm not saying that at all. First and foremost, I think to get elected and then be any kinda productive or successful, you'd need to surround yourself with people who know how "the system" works, its cracks, its strong points, etc. This is true in almost any political setting from PTA Boards, to NC's to City Hall.

Biden has been around so damn long I think he genuinely knows all of the above in just as intimate a way as McCain, maybe even more so.

I don't for a moment doubt that Obama knows his shit, but damn, combo him up with Biden (his Obi-Wan, if you will) to help him unleash his plan of Hopey Change, and I'm feeling pretty, pret-tee groovy about it.

Also linkage onna little missus:
In 1989, following two back surgeries, Cindy McCain became addicted to the painkillers Vicodin and Percocet. To keep up with her daily need of 10 to 15 pills, she used other people's names for prescriptions and stole drugs from the American Voluntary Medical Team, a mobile surgical unit she'd begun in 1988 to provide emergency medical services around the world. A 1993 DEA audit of the amount of painkillers her charity had obtained quickly uncovered her thefts. She avoided prosecution for those crimes through an agreement with the Justice Department in which she submitted to drug testing, paid a fine, performed community service in a soup kitchen, and joined Narcotics Anonymous. She also closed her medical charity.

Opiate for the Mrs.

As Long As We're Talking About Michelle Obama, Did You Know Cindy McCain Was A Drug Addict?

I'm sure there's tons more out there in the ether. But it's been a long day, I'm pooped, and I've got a Memorial for a rabbit (R.I.P. JACKIE) to arrange for tomorrow afternoon. Later gators.

xoxo
