Bradley's Parallel Universe

When is a grievance an agenda item for committee reforms? In the parallel universe that is Bradley's Glassell Park Neighborhood Council. Embattled but not giving up residents who are tired of this evil empire and their treatment at the hands of it's mononymic leader Bradley want to file grievances against the Council and in particular, Bradley.

At a meeting of the Council's Executive Committee, Bradley told a stakeholder their grievance would be heard at the upcoming meeting of the full Council board. Upon arriving at that meeting the stakeholders found that the grievance was not on the agenda. Bradley had buried the issue - or at least claimed he did - under an agenda item about the grievance process.

As the stakeholder correctly pointed out, the Council now could not legally hear the grievance as it was not specifically published on the agenda as per the Brown Act. Not a bad dodge for a smarmy despotic Neighborhood Council President who displays little regard for constituents. He should get elected to the real Clowncil!

Bradley may be a "Volunteer" on the GPNC, but what if he is wheeling and dealing property deals and using his position to actually vote and approve stuff in his hood. That is bad.

This GPNC is a joke and a embarrassment to the whole community of Glassell Park. All the work that the true volunteers have done in the past and present is overshadowed by the stupidity of these people. What a complete waste of taxpayers money. And how sad that NONE of our councilmembers has the balls to do anything about it. Glassell Park may not be everything and it needs a lot of work but I can honestly say, I've had enough of the bullshit that come out of the mouths. I am putting my house up for sale and moving out of Los Angeles.

He even has the Mayor and Northeast LAPD backing his forum. He's the co-chair for Community Police Advisory Board at Northeast PD. Do they care or have any clues just how unstable Bradley is??? Nice to know we can depend on them for our Public Safety. Yikes!

"33. Motion to endorse the “Diversity Forum.” (Bradley) Background: The
presenters will provide an overview of the changing demographics in LA over the
century with further insight into the changing communities from Echo-Elysian to
East LA. Their goal is to include our Community Council as one of the
co-sponsors of this event by showing our NC Logo on the Diversity Flyer in
support of positive efforts on education and understanding in our respective
communities. They are not asking for HHPNC funds, time in the event planning,
or full participation in the execution of this event unless you we like to
contribute funds or volunteer time in shaping the forum. This subject matter or
similar topics may be a useful tool for building understanding and tolerance
through our neighborhood council in the future. The event has been set for
Saturday September 22, 2007 from 9am - 1pm and is to be held at the Glassell
Park Community/Senior Center (GPCSC) located at 3750 N. Verdugo Road. The Human
Relations Commission (HRC), the NOE LAPD, and the Mayor’s Office are in support
of this event as well as other CBO’s.

The next Glassell Park Neighborhood Council Meeting is Tuesday, September 18th, at 7pm at 3750 North Verdugo Road. Pull into the parking lot at the back of the storage building. And for the GPNC council - NO, this doesn't count as one of your postings!

Bradley is not the only problem here. The "Stakeholder" Mo Oxford is just as controlling and manipulative. She has sued other neighborhood councils and I am sure that this is the direction she is headed with Bradley. She doesn't even live in Glassell Park. I feel sorry for Bradley because this stakeholder will make sure that every agenda possible from this point forward revolves around her. Well at least she is attacking our volunteers rather than waist our tax payers dollars by setting her sights on the real city council.

Kenny, I actually only sued one other Neighborhood Council -- the Eagle Rock Neighborhood Council because one of its board members, Jim Perry, refused to release public records that he had taken. You don't have to live in the Neighborhood Council district to be a stakeholder in that NC district -- read the bylaws. I'm a stakeholder in Eagle Rock and Glassell Park. And the only ones "waisting" taxpayer dollars are people who sue NCs for things like "hostile workplace environment" -- something Jim Perry (and Ken Camp, a former minute taker who was removed at the city's request) has threatened to do. Suing for public records act violations doesn't get me any money -- it's just to get the public records requested.

Mo, get over your bullshit obsession with me. I did not write this post [see below]. I never sign off as "anonymous" as the other cowards do here.

As for your allegation that I was removed from minutes taker position with the neighborhood councils at the City's request, that is bullshit because everyone knows it was YOUR constant nagging that got me removed. I was not the only minutes taker removed. Apple One chose to remove us from doing minutes for neighborhood councils due to interference and harassment from you, Tom Topping and Maureen Blatt.

Get a life.
