Wednesday, April 17 - Kevin James, the talk-radio host, attorney and strong finisher in the mayor's race, will endorse City Attornrey Carmen "Nuch" Trutanich's reelection this morning.
"The Trutanich campaign is extremely pleased to welcome Kevin's support," said Rick Taylor, the Trutanich campaign's chief strategist. "Kevin brings an incredibly fresh and vital voice to the debate about how Los Angeles ought to be governed."
James surprised the Los Angeles political world with his third-place finish in the recently completed mayor's race. His campaign was fueled by Kevin’s his strong ideas and tremendous energy.
James joins a long list of Trutanich supporters who include former Los Angeles mayor Richard Riordan, LA County Supervisor Gloria Molina and Sheriff Lee Baca.

Rut roh. David Berger won't be happy. LOL.
Higby, you are right. I am less than 'happy' that Kevin endorsed Trutanich, but let's not forget that Trutanich had nearly all the endorsements in the political universe in his failed DA campaign. It didn't do him any good then, and it won't now.
The May 21 runoff will be another low-turnout election, with most of the same people voting the same way they voted in March. 70% of voters were A.B.C.'s Anyone But Carmen, and the 26% who voted for Greg Smith and Noel Weiss, are mostly going to vote for Mike Feuer.
Do the math, Trutanich is finished and Kevin's endorsement won't change a thing.
KEVIN JAMES IS SHOWING HIS TRUE COLORS. ON THE SURFACE HE'S FOR THE PUBLIC UNDERNEATH HE'S FOR THE MACHINE. HE COULD HAVE DONE THE SAME WITHOUT HIS FAILED ATTEMPT AT RUNNING FOR MAYOR. WE NEED PEOPLE IN GOVERNMENT WHO STAND ON PRINCIPLES REGARDLESS OF POLITICS. THESE ENDORSEMENTS WILL BUY HIM NOTHING. ALL OF THESE CANDIDATES WHO LEAD IN THE POLLS HAVE BOUGHT THEIR OFFICE AND THE REST OF US LOSE AS A RESULT, JUST WATCH!
