Breaking News!! Councilwoman Perry states "Wesson is Right!!"

We bring you this rare moment of agreement with video background from 2013 Mayoral Candidate/CD 9 City Councilwoman Jan Perry and City Council President Herb Wesson.
City Council President Herb Wesson, "the sole protector of  self in the African-American Community.

Dear Friends,
There’s an important story in the Los Angeles Times today about redistricting. Council President Herb Wesson, in the article, notes that there are different factions facing each other at City Hall.  I agree.
There are indeed two distinct factions at play in City Hall, one that fights for the insiders and power brokers and the other that fights for the average Angeleno.
Mr. Wesson and his friends on the Council have done an amazing job protecting the powerful and fighting for their own interests, while systematically betraying the residents of Los Angeles along the way.
The second faction, the one I’m proud to be a part of, fights for the average citizen whose voice is routinely shut out of our political process and who has no voice on how our city is governed.
I hope you’ll read the story and join me in our fight to make Los Angeles work for us once again.
Sincerely,
Jan Perry

...... and this on the possible future reconciliation between Wesson and Parks/ Perry via Herb.

Your thoughts ..............
Scott Johnson in CD 14

Is Jan Perry joking? She has never fought for average angelenos. While she represented the downtown district all she has ever fought for were the wealthy downtown development interests. Look how she has shilled for AEG and made sure they received millions in tax breaks while the City goes broke.

She is happy to give away the convention center to AEG which will be to the detriment of the city and all angelenos.

Take one look at how she facilitated the removal of the South L.A. Farmers so she could benefit another powerful downtown developer.

Now that the commission has pulled the rug out from under her, she plays victim and claims she's an outsider. What a pile of poop.

I have two words for her - buh bye.

I believe that the redistricting method used are racist, segregating Latinos, Blacks, and White. Martin Luther King fought against segregation, African Americans from the very young to Rosa Parks put themselves in the front lines to fight for civil rights for everyone, including Latinos, yet Latinos have been convinced that by segregation they are in power, My questions when will Latinos be allowed to be part of the American dream? When will they be allowed to call ourself Americans? Americans should not be divided by the color of their skin, or their orgin of ancestry. We fought against "NO BLACKS, NO HISPANICS, AND NO DOG ALLOWED" SIGNS" SO ARE WE ASKING FOR SEGREGATION, THE DOORS FOR HISPAICS, THE DOOR FOR AFRICAN AMERICANS, THE DOOR FOR WHITES SITUATED IN FRONT OF THE BUILDING. I believe we are Americans and we must unite as Americans, as the people of the USA.

Claiming Wesson Won by a Landslide against 7 candidates is putting an interesting spin on what actually happened. First of all it was 5 candidates, not 7, none of whom had ever held office and non of whom could come close to matching the money in Wesson's war chest 1/3 of which he extorted out of the Korean community much to their annoyance (read about redistricting) Secondly all he got was 8,000 votes, the same 8,000 he got last election but 13,000 people voted this time round so he didn't pick up any new votes and 5,000 people voted for someone else. Over half the number who voted for him. If CD10 could muster up a real opponent Wesson would probably be out of here. Anyone out there interested?
