"Another Soulvine Thursday": Betty ponders Councilman Parks supposed love of Raves

Longtime South LA Newspaper Columnist Betty Pleasant blesses us with "Another Soulvine Thursday'. This week, Betty fails to utter any comments on her recently roasted, "foul mouth little short guy" City Clowncil Central Committee Strongman Herb "Mini Amin" Wesson. Instead its all about Parks and his supposed connection to Rave Concerts at the Coliseum. Also Betty has some choice comments for Congresswoman Laura Richardson, City Attorney Carmen Trutanich, and  Cical Rights Activist Eddie Jones.
Excerpts from Betty on Parks:
Now that six people connected to the Coliseum and/or its commission have been indicted by the grand jury for “grand theft by embezzlement,” much of what had me puzzled over the past couple of years is becoming clear.
For example, I could never figure out why Councilman Bernard Parks was so in love with those deadly, low-class, drug-infested, rowdy events called “raves” that were held in the Coliseum. A teenage girl died at one; the police hated them; politicians and community leaders assailed them; the residents in the neighborhood demonstrated against them, but Parks said they were wonderful things that provided jobs for his constituents. Light was shone on my confusion during Parks’ re-election campaign last year when everybody with a computer could see thatTodd DeStefano, Pasquale Rotella et al — the operators of these universally detested raves — were significant contributors to Parks’ re-election campaign. The anti-Parks forces went to town pointing this out, but Parks didn’t care and he kept on defending these events and, as a member of the Coliseum Commission, approving them despite the negative opinion the public held about them.
More from Betty next week ...............
Your thoughts ..............

THIS IS WHY PEOPLE ARE RUSHING TO SUPPORT PARKS. WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND.
