Due to official concerns over potential protests over new extremely invasive TSA policies Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa subjected himself to the new porno scanners at LAX saying "Let me be clear: My job is to make the airport as safe as possible for all of those passengers.'' We're not sure whose job is to make LA safe for female journalists.

Like his in-trouble buddy Tom LeBong, the COUNCILMAN LAST SEEN AS JOSE HUIZAR decided to vote against the interests of his district and the City as a whole in watering down plans for a DWP ratepayer advocate.  “This vote provided a bright light between the real reformers and those who support the proposed ballot measure. The final language is disappointing.” said Jack Humphreville who is about a close as it comes in the City to having a guru on the DWP.  Huizar is facing a well funded and strong challenge from businessman and television personality Rudy Martinez whose campaign is catching fire on the Eastside.

Speaking of LeBong looks like he once again made a fool of himself at Friday's Clowncil Meeting when he siced the City Attorney on candidate Frank Sheftel for even daring to answer criticisms hurled by LeBong at Sheftel.  This was while LeBong was using Council time to pay a $600 bill and lock up the Hollywood Sign from hikers.  Here is a great Zuma Dogg video of LeBong using Council time to pass out Griffith Park brochures and ask stakeholders what high school they went to.
