Happy Birthday Griffith Park Wayist

Griffith Park Wayist celebrates it's first anniversary Monday.  It's not often blogs in Los Angeles remain consistent let alone continually knock home runs out of the park.

When I first saw GPW I didn't get it. Now I do. I don't think there is a more unique blog in the City in that you have taken what is seemingly a very local mission and applied it Citywide in a very pleasurable fashion.

GPW dovetails nicely with Mayor Sam, has had our back on more than one occasion, and provides some equilibrium to our dysfunction. I know that if Mayor Sam ever went away, I would be less worried as long as GPW is here.

Congratulations to Petrafried in the City, Mulholland Terrace and the whole GPW team!

GPW is doing great work, and unlike this blog, they don't allow the nut, Phil Jennerjahn, to advance his anti-American, neo-nazi causes.

Walter Moore and Phil Jennerjahn are the David Dukes of Los Angeles. Michael Higby, Red Spot, and JoeB incite the violence. MT and Petra are the voices of reason. Thank you!

I'm with 10:16.

Higby discovered Jennerjahn
Higby fired Jennerjahn
Higby still allows Jennerjahn to post his racist and freedom hating hate speech.

And Higby doesn't post comments about Jennerjahn if he deems them too harsh on his girlfriend Jennerjahn.

Appreciate the nice comments, but please stop with the comparison-slamming. It serves no useful purpose.

Good thoughts, and thanks much! Neglected to mention that "Mulholland Terrace" first appeared at this blog. For that matter, so I think did Petra.

Have to stick up for Phil here. Some of you make the case that Walter Moore is racist. I can see where his rhetoric and some of his fans makes some people think that.

On the other hand Phil has never, ever, ever said or done anything to indicate he is racist. If anything he reached out to minority communities in all his, even if failed, campaigns and was the only Anglo candidate in the mayoral race that spoke fluent Spanish.

I point this out because I think it's toxic to call people racists who are not. I've had to endure it myself, even on blogs run by candidates, former staffers and electeds. Sad.

Meh. I've never cared for the hysterical anti-business, anti-growth slant of GPW.

Leftist blog. But smart writing.

As for me being racist ... LOL!

When I was running for Mayor I was dating a Latina. A few years ago I almost got married to a flight attendant from Malaysia.

The racists are all on the left. They can't see anything but race. It defines them.

Phil, when you own a home you'll feel differently about growth.

I cleaned up my browser last night, dumped a lot of cookies that had collected along the way and set FF to "ask me every time".

This morning, I went to Wayist and was surprised to get a "set cookie request" from:

dist24.casen.govoffice.com

I tagged the usual header on it and it turns out to be Gloria Romero's website.

Is Wayist in the business of tracking our browsing habits for the local pols?
