Essel, Krekorian battle again in Studio City
Christine Essel and Paul Krekorian met again for round two of the battle for Council District 2. It was held in Studio City at the Beverly Garland Hotel. Heavy rain today kept the turnout light.I only stayed for a little while. Mostly they were repeating things that had been said before.
Christine seemed to have a lot more pep than before. She was all smiles and charm. She is clearly overjoyed to be in this runoff. Paul wasn't so thrilled and some of his comments were a little surly. I think he is starting to realize that he could lose this election.
He made kind of a wise-ass, sarcastic comment about "not raising as much money as Christine".
These bitter potshots don't make him a more attractive candidate to anyone.
Both candidates got stung when a voter asked if they "both planned to make Studio City their home?"
Funny how they both had to wiggle out of that one. Christine said she's happy to be back in the Valley.
Paul said he's living in Valley Glen, while his wife is desperately searching for a home to buy there.
(That's funny...because we all know how difficult it is to buy real estate right now.)

Phil, your bias is showing. Just report the story and leave the moronic comments out.
God damn this blog and its major SEO. It really sucks when I'm doing research for a post and the first Google result is a Mayor Sam story posted only moments ago.
Higby if you have a problem with this blog, I will be glad to show you the door. There are plenty of other blogs for you to funk up if you don't like this one.
Phil, a disclaimer indicating who you are supporting would have been nice.
Also how about the byline below the title? That way I can discount the posts by freedom hating conservatives.
Essel flopped with this crowd, she cant seemed to untangle herself from her SB1818 problem.

It's hilarious when Phil calls himself a reporter. But even a rube would know that he would need to declare his endorsement of Essel EACH TIME they write about the subject.
Oh sure Phil, you think Krekorian thinks he is losing? You've got another thing coming. No way in hell. Now the NC activists from the rest of the city will come in to prevent that from ever happening.

One, I'm going to ask you to seek professional counseling for your hate issues and two I'm going to pray for you. No joke. I'm going to pray for you like I have never prayed before so that you can return to advocating for common sense conservative policies and not hate.

Paul Krekorian is a nasty, arrogant SOB and it shows when someone sneaks in a question his handlers didn't authorize in advance.
Krekorian will not buy real estate in the district unless he wins the election.

OK I get it with Phil. He compromised his beliefs for Christine because he hates Paul. Fine but what explains Higby endorsing Paul?

Sick, biased reporting by Jennerdick. I attended the same event and saw nothing of the sort. Krekorian was in fine form and never bitter. He never displayed that once. His comments about fund raising how to do with the point about Essel's connections to the downtown insiders and lobbyists and their contributions, including the painters and carpenter's unions massive contributions to an Independent Expenditure Fund for her campaign. A valid point since she's not the valley girl she pretends to be but a downtown insider. Just what we need more of!!
10:58, in your dreams. Chris E$$el is an empty ve$$el or as some say the Ed$el of this campaign. Not enough $uckers to give her the edge. Her money bought the votes away from Tamar, but won't succeed against the local favorite, Paul Krekorian. She's not a local. Like, you know, ah, a valley girl she ain't, know what I mean, you know?
