Zuma Dogg + Dennis Zine = B.F.F. ???

Are City Council activist Zuma Dogg and Council Member Dennis Zine best friends forever?? One would certainly start to think so after some recent events at City Hall.

I was at City Council on Wednesday, April 8th for what seemed like an eternity as the Council meeting went for almost four hours. Near the end, as Council Members were getting restless to get out of City Hall, Zuma Dogg had a  comment card filled out for discussion of special event fees. He started getting off topic and talking about the LACERS issue and various other things. The City Attorney interjected and Councilman Zine started to warn Zuma he was off topic. Zine eventually cut Zuma off.

"You're finished Mr. Dogg...you're done!" Zine said.

Zuma got hot about that and shouted out "Civil lawsuit on Dennis Zine!!"

But don't listen to me...you can see it here..  3hrs 38min...

Later on, I went to lunch at Sbarros with Zuma Dogg , and who should show up by total coincidence? Zine.

Zuma proceeded to kind of chew Zines ear off about various things, but eventually they both calmed down and started talking about other things. Say what you want about Zuma Dogg, he has an uncanny knack for getting officials to give up and disclose information to him. I thinks he just wears them out.... I've seen Zuma chase people down hallways, into elevators, across parking lots...etc...etc...

Here's a video of Zuma and Zine in happier times....

Later that afternoon, we ran into Paul Koretz, who is in a hot contest for the CD 5 seat. Zuma asked Koretz a bunch of questions and I was kind of surprised at some of the answers. Koretz seemed overly confident about winning his runoff election in May against David Vahedi. Koretz said "All my opponents who lost in the primary are getting behind me".

Oh...really? I thought about it and I wondered  how legitimate that statement was.

Koretz went on to say "It might not even be that close". A bit arrogant, I thought...but who knows?

Later at home I checked out Koretz's website.    http://paulkoretz.com/

I saw he had listed his endorsements from other political figures.

Among them? Ed Reyes and Jan Perry.

Yep, that's all I needed to know.

I emailed David Vahedi and told him he has my endorsement and my support.

little except for the fact that Phil Jennerjahn is now a guest blogger discredits this blog like its ongoing obsession with this vagrant maniac...Zuma Dogg is a sideshow, this is like TMZ for B level LA political celebrities, at least Higby occasionally writes about policy no matter how wrongheaded...what the heck is this post? Zuma Dogg and Dennis Zine are a lot less interesting a couple then Brad and Angelina and have only slight more to do with actual LA politics....

Does Vahedi get all 1/10% of the vote that you got along with your endorsement?

I wonder if he'll put it on his website..it will be awkward if he dosent but embarassing if he does

Guilt by association Zuma. You can't slam those morons then be friends with them. Zine is an idiot and is not liked by most even in his district. Stay balanced and don't let their political bullshit sway you.

"He (ZD) started getting off topic and talking about the LACERS issue."

NO PHIL, my friend, I was NOT off topic, and that was the point. I think the point is, that you were trying to make the point that Dennis cut me off for what he believed was "off topic."

I clarified during my next comment that just because the person sitting behind the council prez chair isn't intelligent enough to understand the concepts does not make it off topic.

And don't worry kiddies, if you could have heard the phone conversation I just had, and the actions that are being taken to prevent Los Angeles City Councilmembers sitting in as Council President, NO MATTER WHO THEY ARE, from taking away the first amendment right, the most basic U.S. right, just because the clowns controlling the mic and police don't like what is being said.

I DO NOT LIKE making this stuff an issue, because I like to make the other issues the issues...but as someone who has attened every meeting this past year, I feel the Council Presidents (Garcetti, Greuel, Zine) are getting a little too comfortable and fast and loose with their self-imposed "discretion."

AND FOR ALL THE ENERGY IT TAKES ME TO ATTEND EACH MEETING, I AM AT LEAST ONE MUTHER-PHUGHER IN THIS CITY THAT ISN'T GOING TO LET SOME ARROGANT, SMUG, POMPOUS, BOOK-SMART-BUT-REALITY-DUMB, MAMMA'S BOY, SILVER SPOON, CONNECTED-ELECTED'S SON TAKE EM AWAY FROM ME.

That no stand-up, spineless, roll-over, non-leader is going to learn that lesson, whether it comes from Robin Kramer and Villaraigosa -- or a Federal Judge. The lawsuit is being prepared and it will include Dennis Zine (along with Wendy Greuesome Greuel). So no favors just because Dennis offered me a job as grafitti fighter. (Yes, he took me to lunch and offered me a job. He said I could camp out on the streets of his neighborhood at 3am, 4am, and if I see people doing graffiti, I could detain them (he offered to get me detaining equiptment when I said he must be crazy if he thought I could roll up and detain a gang on my own like Batman.)

So then the plan was to just sit in my vehicle and drive around looking for it, call the cops, and after they are arrested (as if the cops would ever get there in time, even if they chose to respond); after I testify against them in trial, and they are found guilty, I would get the $1000 reward money.

Anyway, I don't know brought that up, besides my sleep deprivation, but the point is, I think the first amendment is back in council chambers, and I sure hope it is, cause Zuma Dogg has to lay down a "ZERO TOLERANCE" policy with Los Angeles City Council when it comes to being arrogant and cowardly violators of the first amendment.

SORRY IF YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT IS BEING SAID. WE DON'T LIKE WHAT IS BEING DONE. I bet Garshady's strategy in Federal Court over this will be to keep that arrogant smug smirk off his face.

More on Villaraigosa's City Hall and Cheif of Staff Robin Kramer (the person running City Hall while Villar is screwing off 89% of the time) at http://villaragiosa.blogspot.com.

And Eric, don't tell me how much you actually really admire me, to try to spin me off of all of this...the way to spin me off is by your actions behind the podium when Zuma Dogg is talking and not violating anything besides your dignity, that you lost a long time ago anyway. AND DON'T BLAME THE MAYOR'S OFFICE FOR THIS EITHER LIKE YOU DID OVER YOU DWP SCREW UP!

Zine is a backstabbing grandstanding buffoon who's always trying to tell Bratton what to do, and is as qualified to do that as he is to be a ballet dancer. A never-was who's not going to make it to has-been so that's making him meaner and madder than ever. Hides it under his dumb Joe Sixpack act. Wait, that's not an act.

Zuma you have to tell people at Council what Zine proposed to you in your comment at 10:35-- that is just too wild, having you cruise in your van looking for taggers and sit and wait in your van til the cops come.

Then after the come and the taggers are convicted and if if if you get $1000! What if the taggers are gone by the time the cops come which they usually are or kill you like they do sometimes AND what if they get off in court as they often do? If they're juvies they will for sure. Of course you'd have to testify in court and if they get off or don't show you're not paid even if it's gotten that far.

This shows what a farce Zine's "ideas" always are, his version of getting the homeless off the streets or some sort of make-work project? His version of "compassionate conservatism," get the homeless to do what no one else will and if they survive all that maybe maybe maybe they'll get a $1000, otherwise nothing.

This gem is lost amidst your rant about Robin Kramer who's at least trying to earn her salary.

Yeah, a big FUCKING joke to Zine. He was even laughing and joking about it last week in chambers, cause he knows it bothers me. (That he dangled that carrot in front of me, only to be that offensive, empty bullshit.) He was telling people because he knew I was in trouble, "Yeah, I offered Zuma a way to make $1000 a day." (HA HA DENNIS.) AT LEAST WHEN I RAN FOR MAYOR I ACTUALLY LIVED IN THE CITY I WAS RUNNING IN, WHICH IS LESS THAN I CAN SAY ABOUT THE ZINE ENDORSED CITY ATTORNEY CANDIDATE.

Hey Dennis...SHOVE IT PAL for your flippant comments about that graffiti shit.

And to whoever posted those threatening comments toward me. GOOD LUCK! You pissed me off...and I'm gonna hit back twice as hard...and you may be getting a phone call from the F.B.I.

And let me say, for all the things I have said about the mayor...NOTHING HAS EVER BEEN POSTED LIKE THAT. So it kinda narrows things down.

Remember, for all the things I have said...THAT is what causes that threat to be issued. VERY NOTEWORTHY!

WHEN YOU LOOK AT THAT COMMENT, does it look like some average person off the street who posted that. NOPE, looks pretty damn inside to me.

How hard do you think it is going to be to track it down?

Anyway, thanks for the email link to the FBI site and supportive email comments.

And if you wanna hit back at city hall, you now know what button to press.
