Supervisor Burke gives the Minuteman a piece of her mind...

Before Supervisor Burke gave the minuteman organization a piece of her mind, The Shaw Family requested the following:

"We are here today to ask the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to order a comprehensive investigation and report of findings regarding the law enforcement policies and procedures in place at the time of the murder of Jamiel A. Shaw, II. Specifically the policies and procedures of the Office of District Attorney, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept., the County Probation Department, California Youth Authority and the Los Angeles Superior Court with regard to the prosecution, incarceration, sentencing and probation of criminal illegal aliens."

I think we'll have to go back to the Supervisors a few more times before they actually hear us.

Sheriff Baca told the Board of Supervisors (for the second time), that he wants to check the immigration status of inmates during the booking process, not right before their release. Two of the Board of Supervisors previously voted against Sheriff Baca doing this. Can you guess the two?

ACLU and supporters of illegal immigration, spoke out against 287(g). The 287(g) MOU provides Immigration training for state and local law enforcement. This training will help deal with the immigration problems in the jails and on the streets. After receiving this training, (usually about 5 weeks), state and local police and sheriff's deputies will have the authority to help enforce U.S. immigration laws.

Many people had many heartfelt stories to tell! To say the least, it was very heated at times. Barbara Coe spoke in support of Jamiel's Law and in support of checking the immigration status of men in the county jails. Ted Hayes spoke on the 14th Amendment and the importance of dialog. One of the Minuteman Founders, Jim Gilchrist spoke right before our family. But the fireworks came right after Radio Talk Show Host, Kevin James spoke.

Supervisor Burke made a statement, "It's Latinos today and it will be another minority group tomorrow". Although some said her words were, "It's Latinos today and it will be blacks tomorrow". Nevertheless, Kevin told her that her words were racist.

After Kevin spoke, the Supervisor responded but not to Kevin. She responded to the Minuteman organization who were present. I'm not sure why she targeted them at that moment, but it was a clear attack! She was raising her voice, people were cheering, it was something to see.

Supervisor Burke did say, "I'm with you all when you are talking about gangs and having gangs deported." Does that mean that the Supervisor supports Jamiel's law? "But, I'm not with people who want all 3 million Latinos deported to Mexico", said Burke. I didn't hear anyone say that. I must review the tape, maybe you should too.

Thank yous to everyone who came out to make a stand!

Thank you, Shaw Family, and everyone who went to the hearings, for TAKING ACTION. You made a difference: you got more staff hired to screen inmates to find criminals we can deport, instead of releasing them back into the community.

You did great! Keep it up!

And, to anyone out there reading this, please note: THIS SATURDAY, BETWEEN NOON AND 1:00 P.M., YOU CAN SIGN THE PETITION TO PUT JAMIEL'S LAW ON THE BALLOT AT A LOCATION NEAR YOU!

Volunteers will be stationed all over the city. For exact locations, visit JamielsLaw.com, and click on the "Hour of Power" button.

Please also note: only REGISTERED voters who live in the CITY OF L.A. may sign the petition. It's the law.

Burke is only looking at the potential VOTERS who are in the Latino community!! She knows that the GANG BANGERS won't vote!

What a class action whack job!
This woman does not care about the families in her district at all, she has no concern for the safety of the people who live in her districts, she only wants the VOTE!

Well, Burke, you need to recend special order 40 and get with the program, it is NOT about the color of anyones skin, so dump that OLD Race card you atr trying to play, it is worn out and we see that!

Tell Bacca and others to dump special order 40, and check all of those in jail to see if they need further investigation by other law enforcement agencies! Do the right thing here Burke!

8:43 sounds like the multiple personality whacko D.Q., who has been nominated for Red Spot's Ass-Clown award many times.

D.Q. is a lonely old fool who now has returned to his former home at another blog.

D.Q. has a habit of calling everybody on this blog racist but he has many comments which demonstrate his hate for blacks.
