This is the city: Los Angeles, California. I work here. I'm an ex-mayor. Los Angeles is a magnet for people from all over the world. Some of them run for public office. Inevitably some of them stray from the golden rule and rule for those that have the gold. That's when I go to work. My name is Yorty. I'm a dead pol.

A most gracious performance by Mrs. Bill Clinton, no doubt.
Obama owes her big time.

Hillary's proved a lot more gracious that Michelle, who glowered through most of her speech, until the end when she applauded Obama -- could she be the one with the bigger grudge? Seeing perceived slights under every rock (or whatever her equivalent is of Nunez' cactus) fits her persona, never mind her sudden transformation into neat suburban Mom Mon. night.

Indeed, Hillary really rocked it and though I doubt I would ever vote for her - and there are some issues in her past I don't like - she really earned my respect during this convention.
Though it turned out politically to be the wrong choice for Villaraigosa he may have been right about the candidate.
