Biden Nominated; McCain Picks VP
Senator Joe Biden of Delaware has been selected by acclimation to be the Democratic nominee for President. Biden has accepted.

Wow! Biden gave a speech and didn't say anything stupid.

McCain was going to announce his VP selection tonight but he fell asleep after drinking his Geritol

There are some naughty sots in Denver tonight, as pirates have reported that several state legislators skipped town to attend the convention when they were supposed to be, if you will, hard at work passing a state budget.
(Rolls eyes) It just so happens that these particular legislative sots are not the most brilliant bunch for they allowed themselves to be liquored up by pirates. (Looks around to make sure nobody else is nearby) One rather tipsy sot let it slip that His Nibbs now has a new nickname among those in Sacramento.....Has Been...for as close as His Has Been Nibbs was last night to the man of the hour, was as close as Has Been will get to any capitol state or otherwise, savvy?
