Priorities
96% of murder warrants are for criminal aliens in the country illlegaly as is 78% of LA's most wanted list. A 16 year old was killed during a planned gang fight near Los Angeles High School last week. Two suspects are accused of trying to kill an off-duty police officer in San Pedro last Friday night. The Bank of America in Van Nuys was robbed again Tuesday.
Despite that, our City leaders in LA have priorities. They're banning fast food in South LA. The police are arresting photographers near Britney Spears' home. The City Council voted to ban plastic bags Tuesday.
Yet the politicians on our Clowncil save for one won't touch Jamiel's Law and won't even admit to the crime problems we have.
It's all about priorities. So if you're a photographer and see Britney carring a Big Mac in a plastic bag, be sure not to take her photo.

And the federal government, which has direct jurisdiction over the country's borders, seems to have ITS priorities too: talk a lot about the need to control the borders but treat the cost of doing so like any other government spending program they don't like when it comes time to put their money where their collective big mouth is.
If Republicans want to enjoy credibility about this and other security issues, they're going to have to show they have some common sense about the reality that some things simply have a price tag. Talk is cheap. Taking action sometimes costs real dollars.
City Hall ain't the problem here.

Your hero Dennis Zine the buffoon wants to rade tuid Janice Hahn's property tax for gangs to fix a pool in his district which WAS supposedly fixed to the tune of millions with our bond monies, but it was done so badly 250,000 gallons of water leaked out of it last week -- so it has to be fixed again.
That's why your hero Z-man gave in to Hahn's property tax: not on principle because the programs haven't worked and have been a waste of money, but because he wants to waste YOUR property tax money on a pool repair in his district. (No wonder Zine and Hahn have gotten awfully cozy lately.)
Forget anyone else jumping on Zine's bandwagon in Council on this: he's in open war with Bratton (even Bitter Bernie's not that dumb), and the whole Council, and the Mayor's allies -- which is almost everyone on the Council -- aren't going to sign on with Walter Moore who's bashing them and the Chief for his own reasons.
Besides, you proponents should really be going after DA Cooley and Sheriff Baca, who are in charge of felonies and the prisons, and work together. Those are the 2 depts. which let Pedro Espinoza out of prison to kill next day -- and between them have way, way more men and resources than the understaffed LAPD.
DA Cooley's the one who's supposed to ID illegal gangbangers, and should not have allowed Espinoza out of prison after a few months at all, just because he said he was born in US. He had a long rapsheet that Baca's dept. should have tracked, too. If you want to target illegal gangbangers (and we all want them off the streets) you should be targeting all the law enforcement agencies, instead of making it personal against the Chief and Mayor.

HOw pathetic we have the biggest morons and idiots in the nation right here in LA and they're called the gang banger Mayor and clowncil members, the highest paid. They are all the classic example of the Peter Principal how you can have no brains, no leadership, no skills and still get ahead in life. Zine and Huizar made comments to the media that the gang tax was not the way to go because the programs are fucked up. Yet, like the losers and morons they are turned around and voted to place it on the ballot. Ron Kaye will have tons of people at his Aug. 2nd town hall because people are pissed and not as stupid as the idiots who represent us.

I very disappointed in my good friend Joe M, in posting a copy Mayor Sam's xenophobic, vile and racist comments about Special Order 40. We all know the reason gangs exist is because of the gavachos and republican's lack of spending in the varrios. We need more money spent on gang intervention programs.
The repeal of Special Order 40 is being pushed by xenophobes Higby and Walter Moore with their vitriol, stop the vitriol now !!!
Can you say Joseph Mengele !!!!!!

California's Governor and Legislature are planning to pull more money from Los Angeles to cover California's Budget Shortfall by "borrowing" but as you know it never gets repaid except by more taxes (aka fees).
It is critically important to try and get the Governor to NOT pass an emergency resolution, which is the first step in the borrowing from monies approved by the California voters designated for other purposes.
From the governor's statements, he is opposed to the borrowing. However, given the State's situation, there will be significant pressure to put a plan in place very soon and it is important to communicate strong opposition.
SITUATION:
* The State runs out of cash in early August, maybe by Aug. 4. They may be rushed to do something before then to prevent higher cost borrowing.
* The State is considering borrowing against Prop 1A, but also Prop 42, Prop 63, Prop 10, and Prop 49.
* DOF has prepared a scenario where they could justify taking Prop 42 without any obligation to repay.
* One scenarios is that the legislature agrees to release far more Bond money than originally planned, in an effort to back-fill other local funds taken. The problem is that voters were promised that this was additional money, not back-fill money.
RECOMMENDED ACTIONS:
1. Let the Governor know how important it is to the citizens of California for him to support local governments and oppose borrowing. He made these statements in both his budget and May revise proposals, as well as verbally on the Charlie Rose show.
2. We oppose any borrowing or take-away. We need to hit both in case that rumor concerning Prop 42 is correct.
3. Advise Budget Committee chairs and share the same concerns. The budget is out of their hands now, but they are still consulted in the on-going budget process.
4. Please convince the Governor to NOT pass an emergency statement concerning the budget, which is the first step to the borrowing action.

Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen (removes hat and bows low with flourish):
Here we are in Macao gazing upon the jewel known as Hong Kong where we, if you will, are enjoying our stay at the home of one of our crew (waves hello to parents of Quartermaster) prior to our departure to Bejing where we will witness another of our crew march in under the flag of his country or origin to participate in the Games, savvy?
But let us attend to priorities first, shall we? Yes, let's. It is interesting to see where some sots have their priorities lie. For example, the sot from the Mayor's office who carries much in front of him makes it a priority to sit near the front of the train. (Smiles) Perhaps it is so he can make a quick exit, savvy?
Or how about the sot from a certain Westside hamlet who has the ability to make their priorities the emergencies of a certain clowncil member...one of these days the jerked knee will hit more than just the chin. (Whispers) But then again, the knee must get completely through the ego in order to bruise the pride, savvy?
Or perhaps the question that weighs upon the minds of two female attorneys who would like to know, if you will, in writing, what the priorities were that kept His Nibbs from complying with the same 30 day response mandate that the rest of us must comply with. (Sighs) It must not take much practice to bend the law even if one has not had any practice in practicing law but instead employs the law and practices at being above the law, savvy?
(Looks at crew) What will be interesting indeed is seeing whether or not His Nibbs can resist a good photo op while practicing being in two places at once during on Triple 8 Day. (Crew laughs loudly) But then again it takes a lot of practice to be perfect which, if you will, some sots practically think they are. Savvy?

Z-man is my hero. At least he wants to reduce the amount of expenditures by eliminating unnecessary "fees" (aka taxes). Practicality and government obviously do not mix.

Zine only opposed Hahn's crooked hit- the- homeowners only tax for gangs, because he worried his district wouldn't get its share. But per Ron Kaye quoting the Daily News, Zine's intent on raiding the gang tax TO FIX A POOL IN HIS DISTRICT WHICH HAD MISSPENT PREVIOUS BOND MONIES, HIRING INCOMPETENTS TO FIX A BUNCH OF WEST VALLEY CITY POOLS WHO DIDN'T KNOW HOW AND NOW IT HAS TO BE DONE AGAIN.
Sound familiar? Like the issue with a certain huge sidewalk re-do he himself brought to Council's attention -- stuff that happens when bus goes to contractor homies of certain people, instead of to all those unemployed, highly qualified builders out there right now?
Zine as the biggest phony, other than Janice Hahn (and Alarcon, and...) He got his photo op and sound bite for pretending to sound outraged about a tax, now he's got his face in the trough so he's even misusing the fund in advance.
Re-fixing a pool in the guise of a "gang prevention program" shows how that's another tax that can and will be raided for ANYTHING and they'll claim it's "gang prevention," since gangmembers might show up, right?
By the way, there are LESS THAN 300,000 HOMEOWNERS IN THE WHOLE CITY THAT ALL THESE TAXES -- TRASH, GANG PARCEL TAX, ETC. ETC. AFFECT. The rest live in bigger-unit buildings.

"No Hope for Reseda Pool Fix," by Susan Abrams in today's Daily News, is the Zine scam: trying to raid Hahn's gang tax on homeowners to fix a decrepit pool in Reseda. AFTER making a public stink about the tax as "unfair" -- only until HE figured out a way to try to raid it.
This is another huge reason to OPPOSE JANICE HAHN/ TONY CARDENAS' PROPERTY TAX FOR GANG "INTERVENTION:" as long as any gangsters show up at the pool or ANY facility (park, game hall, camping trip, ANYTHING, even if they're facilities that serve the general public and only incidentally host some gangbangers), it can be called "gang intervention."
Irony: Zine was again today in Council one of the most sanctimonious about "THE PUBLIC TRUST WHEN IT COMES TO TAXES," going on about how when voters are told a tax is for one thing and it's raided for something else, that's unethical. EXACTLY, DENNIS.

Does Huizar know his sanctuary city is becoming another Tijuana?
************************
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/homicidereport/2008/07/on-wednesday-af.html
On Wednesday afternoon, outside a liquor store in El Sereno, Los Angeles City Councilman Jose Huizar and Los Angeles Police Department officials announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to the capture of Jesus Guevara's killers.
LAPD Hollenbeck detectives said Guevara, 24, had just cashed his check at the liquor store, at 3327 N. Eastern Ave., and was about to enter his vehicle when he was shot twice in the back. Detectives said someone yelled something out and shot Guevara twice in the back when he turned to look.
"Let me remind you that the shooting happened in broad daylight," Huizar said. "Broad daylight and It happened on a busy street."
The liquor store sits between a meat market and a restaurant. "Please, we ask for your help," said Guevara's aunt, Maria Corona

Good evening ladies and gentlemen (removes hat and bows low):
Pirates were in attendance at a UCLA fundraiser where the ladies flowed in equal parts with elegant tequila, savvy? His Nibbs made a passage northwest while dipping his wick into another's honey pot, saavy?
You may wish to unroll the scrolls of my previous remarks, perhaps the Bard would be so kind to do so for you (motions to Bard, Bard hands the Captain what be the proper scroll). Recall the deal that His Nibbs will run the losing boy against the bald plated pirate? Alas, now the bald plated pirate is ready to grab the wheel (makes large sweeping motion) from His Nibbs himself!
My lord Mayor, rest assured that all of this information can be found quite easily upon the internet. If a pirate can find it, anyone can find it. Savvy?

What's this Capt. Jack saying, not that anyone ever can figure it out, or if he's just full of wind in his sails. That the "bald pated pirate" is Zine, planning to run for Mayor himself, against Antonio? Is he that delusional?
Does he think the Z-Man sign really will turn into SuperZine, and money and benefactions will flow down upon him, a fat balding semi- Republican who shares Higby's obsession with Britney Spears?
