Memo to the Daily News, Walter Moore has been, is, and will continue to run for Mayor

This morning as usual, the radio was tuned into KABC 790 AM "Doug McIntyre Show".

Doug is the best in AM Los Angeles when highlighting, with intellect and reason, local issues of the day.

This morning he took exception to the Daily News, aka, the "MOLDY GREEN SHEET" for this sentence in a story about the Mayor's San Fransisco Fundraiser tonight.
The invitation-only champagne reception is expected to raise tens of thousands of dollars for Villaraigosa's re-election campaign next spring. As of now, the mayor has no announced challenger.
Now I would provide a link to the whole story so that the sentence could be seen in its proper context, but the MOLDY GREEN SHEET has removed the story in question, must of been embarrass into action by the comments of one of their Op-Ed writers on the air this morning.
For months now Walter Moore has been running commercials and appearing on local AM stations. Further he is the author of "Jamiel's Law" which would revise Special Order 40. I find it hard that a "MOLDY GREEN SHEET" Copy Editor, unless based in India like the OC Register, could of not caught this oversight before the story went to press. Then what about asking your in house political writer Rick Orlov to scan the story for any mistakes??
And by the way, I recall Doug mentioning something about a retraction............

Now that's FUNNY!

How serious is your candidacy when one of only two viable newspapers in the city don't even count you among the CHALLENGERS!

(And when the votes are counted, WWM's will be grouped with "other" as an aggregate).

The City Clerk may even call the election before the voter info packets are mailed.

Idaho is calling, Wacko! Embezzle off into the sunset with your $100K and enjoy.

They'll take you seriously there - after a few years.

How crazy is it that out of towners are the big supporters of Mayor Tony's campaign. Too bad some of the money can't go to the infrastructure already bursting at the seams.

You have to ask yourself "What do they have to gain?" and throw in the idea that lots of supporters, local and others, are developers, or have interests related to increased development of the city.

And what a visionary the Mayor is to work so hard on increasing population density while asking everyone already here to bear the burden that his cause will instensify. Trash fee hikes, cutting down on usage of electricity, water and more things before he's done campaigning.

And the Mayor spins the indicators of these not-so-great times to his benefit: Today he touts the MTA as a provider of mass transit- it only looks good when traffic flow is strangled by the overload on streets. He needs to get a better view of things. Maybe sitting on a few more phone books while driving the MTA bus still didn't give him a good view of the future ills his policies are bringing.

Just a view from CD-14, where CM Huizar is concerned more with mural proliferation than the threats-to-life that gangs pose.

I don't think Walter has a chance of winning and I would hate to see any precious votes wasted on him. Sorry Walter, I don't dislike you, but I truly feel a vote for you is a vote for AV. That is, it won't go towards another candidate that could beat him. Wouldn't it be sad that a more likely to win candidate lost by a mere 10 thousand votes that went towards Walter?

Please don't let AV win. Please back out now.

To be acknowledged as a true Mayoral candidate, Walter should lose any and every button-down collar shirt in his possession. An image consultant is a legit campaign expense.

Can just one person come up with a game plan through which Walter could win? He can't do it. Then we can have something substantive to talk about in determining whether or not he's a viable candidate. Since the media ignores him, you would think that he would develop a plan in order to argue that he is a candidate worth mentioning.

The saddest part is that losers like Wacko Walter actually help deter serious alternatives from being on the ballot. They look at the numbers, and know that each mini also-ran will pull a couple of points out of the "anti" (AV - in this case) column, and away from them.

It affects either side:

We owe the first term of Bubba Clinton, to the idiot Ross Perot.

We owe "W's" first term to pompous never-was Ralph Nader.

The "no chance in hell" deluded ego candidates like Walter Moore KEEP mediocre incumbents in power.

If you want to boot Antonio, stop propping up the mini-losers who get in the way of real viable options.

It was a nice sentiment years ago, but it just ain't true that "any little boy can become president."
