Is Chris Matthews a Racist?

MSNBC's Chris Matthews made the following comment a few moments ago on MSNBC's continuing coverage of the Senator's win in the Pennsylvania primary:

"Blacks were joined by some White liberals in Pennsylvania who voted for Barack Obama but regular people throughout the state voted for Hillary Clinton."

What the hell did he mean by that? Chris Matthews is an idiot, by the way.

He's not any more racist than you are, Mr. Higby. Mayor Sam went from the home of L.A. politics to the home of Latino bashing in a short amount of time.

I not sure Chris Matthew is a racist but Don Quackers sure is a racist and also a lonely idiot. Don Quackers spends all day writing comments to himself at Joe Mailander's blog. I'm glad Higby just ignores the lonely fool.

I know there is blame to go around but along with the shooting death of 3 year old Kaitlyn Avila and these killings (including an innocent 10 year old boy while he was on the ground), what does this tell you about culero Mayates. And look at the ages of these chanates. I hope the Carnals get a shot at these changos when they hit the joint.

How is it Latino bashing to want the police to work with ICE in order to clean the streets of undocumented gang members? I am a friend of many Latinos but I still have common sense. Half the reason we're in this mess is cow-towing to one demographic, the Latino demographic. And sadly, coddling the illegals is part of their platform. Legal immigrants should be just as eager to rid the streets of these criminals. It would allow them to find better jobs.

He was likely referring to folks in the more rural parts of Pennsylvania and the lunch-pail/working class crowd. The Clinton folks are not big fans of his--especially after he said and then apologized for his reason on the success of her candidacy--but you won't find another political talk show host who lives, eats and breathes politics more than Matthews.

He is ubiquitious if nothing else; I loved his line the other day: "It's been Christmas season for me every day for the last 15 months and I'm selling Christmas trees."

It's a bit long but there was an interesting piece in the NY Times magazine on Chris Matthews the week before last. Despite his success and potential political run himself in Keystone state, he comes across as insecure and worried his place in the pundit pantheon.

Anyone who isn't part of the "liberal establishment" is cut out of awards, the endorsement of colleagues who are kissing up to the "liberal elite." And you know that anyone who dares to speak out for legal immigration, for respecting the law, the costs of illegal immigration, instead of bashing "anglos" as greedy and not giving enough to the ungrateful illegals, as is de rigeur by those like Rim Rutten on the Times, isn't going to get the respect he needs.

But in terms of numbers if not dollars, Chris Matthews wins. Plus he's done a lot of investigative stories no one's doing, like how the Internet facilitates ID theft by crooks around the world, from Nigeria to Romania. America is the only country stupid enough to put EVERY PERSONAL DETAIL on the net, with sites being used to find your mother's maiden name, your DOB and unlisted addresses and phones, evem more.

It's like handing info to crooks on a silver platter with the excuse of "the public's right to know." Then our stupid DA's and FBI wring their hands and go after the crooks -- instead of restricting the "right" of websites to steal your info and put it on the internet for "sale" without your permission.
