Mayor Sam's Hotsheet for Thursday
Its good to know that its not only the Sister City bloggers who see the foolishness of the LA City Clowncil. I ran across a blog called "Kim and Her Friends Explain it All" which takes to task our unopposed council members who have raised and are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on campaigns they are guaranteed to win. In response to Wendy Greuel's justification to her massive unopposed campaing spending "It's real important to get a message out to everyone in the district what we're doing," Kim says "We know what you’ve been doing comrade, you're squandering the taxpayers money on utterly asinine crap, then passing that hat so your constituents can pay for the rare privilege of hearing you brag about it." I couldn't put it any better.

If you use Google maps to find where it is you are going, you can now use them to find out when you will get there. The ever innovating folks in Mountain View have now added real time traffic status to their maps.
Hexod.US reports on the coming Echo Park Lake cleanup. They expect draining the lake should reveal shopping carts dead bodies galore but at the same time presents an opportunity for redesigning the rental boats.
The City of Santa Monica has nothing better to do than to ban bus ads featuring scanitly clad young women. Banners on the sides of the city's buses for Tyra Banks' America's Next Top Model are no longer permitted.
Our favorite blogging idiot David Markland is calling on this old, dead Republican mayor, LA Observed's Kevin Roderick and Martini Republic's Joseph Mailander and Alex DeLarge to attend a blogger love-in next week in West Hollywood. Though Mayor Sam prefers to party in the 818 its possible I may make the trek over the hill.
