The only reason you support the TERMINATOR is as a favor to our Mayor.

GOV in 2010

Moderators?

A question for you.

Who organizes the best "get out the vote" political parties?

Democrats or Republicans

GOTV has nothing to do with parties...it has to do with getting your identified supporters to the polls. Door hangers reminding them when the election is and where their precinct is, calling them after 5 to remind them that the polls close at 8.

Lately, the Reps have been better at GOTV...but that could all change tomorrow.

Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen (Removes hat and bows low):

Mayor Sam, you have left Mr. Jones and Mr. Ten off your recommendation list. Bad form, I say. Mr. Jones is the opponent of Mr. Waxman, and worthy of a mention. Mr. Ten is, well, ten times better than Mr. Cedillo.

I have a few comments regarding your recommendations. I would instead like to see Donna Tello in place of Mr. Strickland. Ms. Tello has actual municipal treasurer experience.

And I would much rather see anyone other than Mr. Mountjoy; that old bugger just won't stay on that island with Mr. Ashburn and Mr. Runner. Must be out of rum, savvy?

And while I can wax enthusiastic about the other candidates, I will instead recite the list of charges against those upon the plank.

Mr. Cedillo has done nothing for his constituents. NOTHING. His sole concentration and focus has been that one bill of his. Plus he voted for AB1381. Off the plank he goes! (KER-PLUNK).

Mr. Padilla has fallen in with this awful lot by supporting R, AB1381 and endorsing Mr. DeLeon. His actions show that he is the President of Some and the Listener of Nothing. Off the plank he goes! (KER-PLUNK).

Ms. Romero has aided and abetted those who would hijack the constitutional rights of others, and then has the gall to screech and wail on live radio. Plus she needs to keep her knees closer together when the sits; a reason women wore long skirts, savvy? Off the plank she goes! (KER-PLUNK with ripple effect)

Mr. DeLeon is an enthusiastic supporter of everybody else's ideas and cannot stand on his own merits. He supported AB1381 and has taken money from dirty sources (i.e., the towing company who was investigated by the FBI). Methinks that he has astroturf in his carpet bag, savvy? But then again, while some people have baggage, he has FREIGHT. Off the plank he goes (KER-PLUNK).

Ms. Sarno has peanut butter in her ears and ignores the vote of no-confidence the people have put forth. I have every confidence that Ms. Sarno will regret her ignorance. Off the plank she goes! (KER-PLUNK).

And Mr. Nunez...cold hearted bastard that he is. And while he'll win his election, I can only hope that his own kind will eat him for turning everyone in on themselves. His due comes when he attempts to run for a City office down the line. Best to feel the cold water now, savvy? Off the plank he goes (KER-PLUNK).

And now, a small hint as to who I am. I am not one but many. One of us writes, one of us cooks. One of us models and has good looks. One of us argues and one of us judges. All of us are kindly and hold no grudges. One of us works in the Ivory Tower. One of us keeps a bar in the fairy bower. We all take turns typing our posts. Yes, we are spooks, tricksters and ghosts.

VOTE WISELY.

"One bill Gil" should re-introduce his drivers license bill as a "tourist souvenir drivers license." If a foreigner can provide the DMV with a valid passport with the appropriate visa, then the foreigner can take the driving tests and if he passes, he can get a "red card" driver license good for 90 days (most visas are good for that time period). Oh, that's right, the "undocumented" (let's not mince words- illegal immigrant) won't have documentation! Oh well, too bad Gil!

Great post, Captain Jack.

Mike Ten is certainly 10 times better than Cedillo.
