"Fujioka Gone Wild" at Wendy Greuel's City Council Daycare Center

NOTE: MAKE SURE TO WATCH THE END OF ZD's PUBLIC COMMENT VIDEO BELOW TO SEE COUNCILMEMBER WENDY GREUEL AGRESSIVELY APPROACH ME IN THE HALL -- THEN THAT EVIL CLOWN FUJIOKA COMPLETLEY LOSES IT AND THE POLICE HAVE TO STEP IN.



No offense, Wendy Greuel, but City Council meetings are NOT a day care center for your cute little kid to be running around the horseshoe -- AND -- preventing you from doing the job you are paid to do by the people of Los Angeles.

First of all, you were COMPLETELY out of the room (not just off to the side) during Eric's final quorum call, and you missed the first TWO votes on special agenda items, while you tended to your kid.

THEN, during Public Comment you were busy with your kid, fixing his halloween costume, or whatever. Los Angeles City Council has already been admonished by a Judge once already for not paying attention. (Do you need a fresh admonishment.)

So, yes, I did make brief mention during my public comment that, "City Council is not a day-care center..." (See video below.) However, made no mention of your name, your son; and even used the word, "CouncilMEMBER" instead of "CouncilWOMAN", so as to not even reveal the gender of the babysitting Councilperson.



So after my comment, Wendy (who is so cute and adorable herself) runs after me, on my way out of chambers, to warn me (with the raised eyebrows and hostile tone), "Dont' talk about my family! I have a babysitter here. Don't include my family in this..." (It felt like a veiled threat based on her tone and facial expressions, from a powerful politician who I have been told, "Will tear your heart out and shove it down your throat if you're not careful." (The whole exchange was kinda surreal, cause she's got such a lovely and adorable apperance, you're not used to hearing that kind of hostile stuff come out of someone who looks like that, but I guess that's here true nature when she isn't posing for constituents votes, or special interest's money.)

Again, no mention of you or your son (so YOU are the one who brought it to the public forefront). And, now it is also relevant to mention that last week you interupted a presention (although it was a Mickey Mouse presentation) to say, "My son ****** is at home watching, can you wave to my son ******, Mickey?" (If you're holding up a City Council meeting for your own personal Hallmark moment from Mickey Mouse to your son, YOU are the one dragging your kid in City Hall buisness.)

And for the record, I wouldn't have said sh*t, if you didn't miss two votes, were paying attention during public comment, and didn't agressivley approach me as I was leaving.

THEN, JUST AS BAD...As this is happening, this Clown named Fujioka runs over to block Matt's camera (denying Mr. Dowd of his first amendment protected right to film inside chambers), then rolls up on MY grill and tells ME to "back off"! (He literally had to turn around and walk over to me, in order to tell me to, "back off.")

It all unfolds on the two videos. And although, everyone likes to see kids running around and having fun (including Big ZD), this IS a City Council meeting with millions and billions of dollars at stake; and much of the time, these issues have serious concequences to the affected constituents, because of your own financial special interests.

And Wendy, if you DID have a babysitter on hand for your son, the babysitter should have been watching your kid...instead of having him in the horseshoe, shuffling around Councilmember papers and preventing you from paying attention to Public Comment and missing agendized votes. That's all I'm saying. I'm not even saying don't bring him to Van Nuys, for the once a month meetings (even though in my opinion it's not really an appropriate environment for a three or four year old).

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, HOW DARE YOU WENDY GREUEL AGRESSIVLEY APPROACH ZD WITH YOUR VEILED THREAT TELLING ME WHAT NOT TO SAY DURING MY PUBLIC COMMENT. I'm sorry you cannot control your emotions, but I assure you, if you are not allowed to respond to speakers during public comment, you sure as hell are not allowed to run up and encroach the speakers as they are exiting the buildling. (Especially when they make no mention of you, personally, whatsoever.
