Open Thread: Tom LaBong vs. The City of Burbank

It may be a great day in the City of "Los Ann-e-les" but folks in Burbank don't agree.

The City wishes to build a sewer line, and tunnel right below residential neighborhoods in the City of Burbank.

Obviously, Burbankians are not happy about it and the City is seeking outside counsel to pursue legal action against Los Angeles.

The person behind the tunneling scheme? None other than Zuma Dogg's favorite City Clowncil announcer, Tom LaBong.

Thoughts?

The City of LA probably already has a deal with Burbank to accept some or all of its sewage into the LA system for treatment (as it does with many of the smaller local cities), so there's probably a "bargaining chip" there. Most of the residents of Burbank probably aren't even aware of it.

Why is Tom Labong on the Burbank City Council? He lives in SilverLake! Why is he a representative of our city when he chooses not to even live in our city? Seems like a conflict of interest, of course he doesn't care if LA pipes all of their crap through our little city.
