No Jail Time for Ludlow
CBS Channel 2 reports:"Former City Councilman Martin Ludlow was sentenced Monday to five years probation and 2,000 hours of community service in a federal case stemming from his use of money from a local union to fund his 2003 campaign.
"Ludlow was also ordered to pay $36,492 in restitution to the union."

Ludlow is not an honorable man. Ask his ex-wife, people who have worked with, and for him.
I hope they don't allow him to choose where he does the 2,000 hours. It should be at a homeless shelter or at Goodwill in downtown L.A. I hope it's not at the Job Corps where he's good friends with the Executive Director. And I hope it's not in the 8th, 9th or 10th District. It should not be with a union organization and not with Amer-ICAN or Unity ONE. He has too many connections there that will only sign off on the hours and he will not do them. Oh, she should not do them with the Community Coalition either because we all know that it's still run by Assembly woman Karen Bass of the 47th. Maybe he shoud do volunteer work in the jail system so he can see first hand how jail is. Plus, he can use his criminal justice degree. Hell, even CalTrans would be good for him.
He fessed up only to take the fall for AV. You don't think that AV has promised him some consulting jobs where he can make more money than he was at the County Fed, and in City Hall? Don't be fooled folks.
Ludlow is an arrogant ass. He took responsibility for his actions cause HE GOT CAUGHT AND NO OTHER REASON. Don't make him sound like some matyr. He embarrassed people who thought he had ethics and morals. He proved he's nothing more then a greedy, sneaky little ass who let down people who supported him. He wasn't even remorseful. The National "LA TIMES" Enquirer has this story way at the bottom of page 7 today. I want to know who's next and who Ludlow dropped a dime on to sve his own ass.

That Martin is turning on Jeanette is sick. She was with him wholeheartedly and did anything he asked her to because she knew of his connections in the labor movement had she not done what he asked. He used her then, and is turning on her now. Tell me 10:12, how is that honorable?
Honorable is coming clean with the corruption and not taking anyone else down to save your own ass. He could have cut a deal to keep her out of it. But Jeanette, not having the support that Martin does in the Mayor's office and Labor, is being blamed for their corruption.
And don't let him fool you into thinking that he's a church going, religious man who finds his peace in God. Martin finds his peace in the rush of "the game". It fuels his fire and his ego (short men have those you know).
And I agree, Martin may be too short for jail.
Don't make Janett a martyr either. She's as guilty as Martin. If she had a good lawyer, she would have been pushed to take a deal too. As is, she's at the mercy of men with a political ax to grind. Dumb.
Martin is singing. Humphrey's lawyers have the goods on many local politicians - including the mayor - and Martin agreed tomuch of what Humphreys is saying just to stay out of jail. 2,000 hours - that's a lot of freeway cleaning. But knowing Martin, he'll try to scam his way out of this also by getting some nonprofit to claim his hours. No shame.

Where's the justice? A husband and father who writes a bad check to pay the rent and feed his family goes to jail. (We don't give aid to families with fathers, we let them live in their cars, if they are lucky enough to have one.) But a politician like Martin who steals, lies and uses people to win an election gets community service.
Maybe justice is coming for Ludlow and his cronies. He had to sing like a "canary" to get that sentence...
I'm not kicking Martin when he's down, he's kicking himself. And since i'm taller than he is, if i was kicking when he was in office, i'd be kicking downward anyway.

At least you know you can see Martin every Sunday at Church trying to make it seem as if he's remorseful. Except for the times when he needs to get away and goes to visit his mother in Maryland for a few weeks just to "get away".
Martin sold out everyone to get that deal. I hope his family is proud of him because that's all he'll have left.
Ludlow disappointed soooooo many people. He was hope for them and a role model for young blacks. Now, he just showed everyone that $$$$ was more important to him. He didn't care about the people he served. He's nothing more then a corrupt little man with no ethics, morals and extremely selfish. His arrogance was his downfall. How can anyone ever trust him again?

I cant believe that you really think Janett Humphries is guilty of anything but acting as a mother to Martin who then turned and Lied on her.. Isnt is obvious that Martin (Blake) Ludlow coming from a political background knew exctly what he was doing and janett coming from a teaching background only thought that she was helping a friend..HELLO does anyone not understand Alzeimers and Dementia of course she no was lying is but would you remember what perjury meant! Think about she is old doesnt really have that many connections she was a perfect target... Dont you agree Antonio by the way Ive done my research werent you at her daughters wedding .. I thought I saw him on a website with the family.SURPRISE I dont remember him even commenting on Janetts situation , But i do remember him stating thate Martin was a son to him.I wonder what secrets they share!!!!!!!!!!!
