Beginning Of The Reconquista?

Some might call this video "inflammatory." Fair enough. We can all agree to disagree. But elements of it are disturbing, and it does show some of our current politicans in action well before we all knew their name.

From the poster:
This video was filmed at a 1994 rally in Los Angeles. Nunez is seen introducing Juan Jose Gutierrez (of the SEIU) to make a speech to the crowd. To the right stands a Mexican trumpet band. Behind the stage is a large 13-starred colonial-era American flag (signifying the U.S. minus "Aztlan"). After Gutierrez's speech, the band mockingly plays the American national anthem while Nunez, Gutierrez and Kevin de Leon mill around the stage talking to each other. After the U.S. anthem is finished, the band begins an enthusiastic rendition of the Mexican national anthem - and then Nunez, de Leon and Gutierriez all snap to attention and salute their country.

Mexican National Anthem

Chorus
Mexicans, when the trumpet is calling,
Grasp your sword and your harness assemble.
Let the guns with their thunder appalling
Make the Earth's deep foundations to tremble.
Let the guns with their thunder appalling
Make the Earth's deep foundations to tremble.

May the angel divine,
O dear Homeland,
Crown the brow with the olive branch of peace;
For they destiny, traced by God's own hand
In the heavens, shall ever increase
But should ever the proud foe assail thee,
And with insolent foot profane they ground,
Know, dear Country, thy sons shall not fail thee,
Ev'ry one thy soldier shall be found,
They soldier ev'ry one shall be found.

Chorus

Blessed Homeland, the children have vowed them
If the bugle to battle should call,
They will fight with the last breath allowed them
Till on thy loved alters they fall.
Let the garland of olive thine be;
Unto them be deathless fame;
Let the laurel of victory be assigned thee,
Enough for them the tomb's honoured name.

Chorus

There are many Latinos born in this country who are extremely proud of their country. You should show the video of the 3,000 residents who took classes and passed their citizenship waving their American flags and crying because they were so proud. Thank goddness Mexico didn't win the world cup game. This city would have had all the illegals celebrating and getting drunk

Gee,

Mexicans won't stand still for the national anthem but they will die for this country - at a higher rate than any other ethnic group. Plus Mexican Americans are the most decorated. McArthur got fired not for threatening China with the A-Bomb, but for threatening them with Mexicans. His famous quote, given to me by my father who heard him speak firsthand in Korea,"Give me a battalion of those red eyed pot smoking Mexicans and I'll take China!" How about it Mayor Sam, when have you strapped on some battle fatigues? Standing at attention for the national anthem doesn't count!

damn i'm glad that i don't live in L.A. anymore. I can't take it. Black folks need to take heed. All this coalition building shit is a code word for "screw them niggas" and they are too dumb to see it. Martin Ludlow (who i never agreed was black in the first place), Mark Ridley-Thomas, Najee Ali, etc. are all on this same kick. Seems like Mervyn Dymally is the only one who actually came out and said that he wants to keep his seat black and looks out for the interest of his black constituents. That's not to say that he doesn't sell out too but damn, at least he's being honest.
Poor black folk. Ya'll better leave.
By the way, check out Georgia's new immigration policy. I think them crackers are onto something here. Gotta love them rednecks. They sure know how to keep their state from being taken over legally by illegals. Get er' done!

From Kevin De Leon's web site:

In 1994, Kevin was a leader in the campaign against Proposition 187 – organizing political rallies against the mean-spirited measure, registering new voters and rallying the Latino community to get involved in the electoral process.

No doubt this video was shot at one of those rallies.

The Mexican that dies for this country has assimilated. The other that trashes the anthem and disrespects America are Mechistas like Marcos Aguilar.

There is a difference! Do not confuse!

4:38,

What do you make of the 13-star flag and of the fact that Nunez and de Leon stand around talking to each other on stage during the American national anthem but suddenly come to attention and salute when the Mexican national anthem is played?

Maybe you're yawning since this is par for the course for your friends and peers.

June 22, 2006 4:56 PM

Anonymous Anonymous said:

This video isn't inflammatory! Let's think about this logically...

The 13-star flag not only represents the U.S. without "Aztlan," but without many other territories our nation absorbed on its way to "Manifest Destiny."

It's painfully obvious that Nunez is aligned with Spainards who want Florida back, Frenchmen who want the Louisiana purchase back, and Brits who want the Oregon Country back. That's the only way to logically interpret the presence of the 13-star flag!

I bet there were a whole bunch of politicians in the audience of Spanish, French, and British descent who didn't pay attention to the National Anthem. But if the Spanish, French, or British Anthem played, they would salute!

It's all a big conspiracy, can't you people see? This video proves everything! The logic is infallible! And it's absolutely not inflammatory at all!

Some of our country originally belonged to Canada, and you better believe those Canucks want it back! I bet the video forgot to focus on Canadians that didn't respect the National Anthem. Let's build an armed wall along the borders with Canada and Mexico and SHOOT TO KILL!!!

In all honesty, I'm much more worried about the French reclaiming New Orleans than those dirty Mexicans reclaiming Los Angeles! In fact, all foreigners are dirty! They're all out to take over the United States and rape your daughters! Again, any logical review of this video leads to no other conclusion! It's not inflammatory at all!

I don't think they're specifically interested in raping our daughters, since other crimes seem to be at least equally represented.

7:42 here yet again. 10:19, I love you, the information you provided bolstered my point. And that point is, foreigners are ruining our country. Why is this blog always focusing on Mexicans and the "Reconquista"? Foreigners of all kinds are out to kill us.

Are you people too stupid to realize that the French want the Louisiana purchase back? Are you people too stupid to realize that the Armenians want to create a new homeland here? Are you people too stupid too realize EVERYONE ELSE is out to ruin America as we know it? The links that 10:19 shared PROVE all this. It's completely logical, not inflammatory!

It's time to SHOOT TO KILL all those dirty Mexicans and Canadians, to restrict population growth by infant "euthanasia" (not abortion), and to put all Mexican-American politicans in jail. Be like me and 10:19! Let's put Fabian and Antonio and the rest of these "Reconquista" in jail! They're part of a big conspiracy! Do you want to see Orlando back in Spanish hands? KILL THE BASTARDS!!!

7:42,

Thanks for reading that LAPD page. Sure, there are a few Armenians, but, you know, the vast majority are from that other region. The one, you know, down in the southern direction. Baja U.S., you might call it.

Come to think of it, I don't even know what the Armenian flag looks like. And as for the French, I can't remember any hundred-million-French-man marches. Maybe I slept in that day, though. Same for the Canadian-man marches. As for the Spanish, I think I met one Spaniard while I was in college, but that was it. As for the people who came from that region down there, though, I think I see around 40-50 each day.
