Where's Antonio?
He's busy getting ready for his "State of the City" speech Tuesday evening, but the Mayor will get out of City Hall to speak at a reception in honor of Gloria Jeff, the new general manager of the city's Transportation Department.For those of you who have been asking the Mayor to come clean your toilets, well he wasn't doing that this weekend, but he was at a homeless shelter washing people's feet for Easter. This has become a common activity lately, based on Biblical stories of washing the feet of the poor. However, we don't think that Jesus used rubber gloves, and in fact, the Bible tells of how after washing some leper's feet, Mary Magdalene dried them with her long hair.

Aparently we have come a long way and understand that good hygiene is very important when doing these deeds. You don't want to give someone you helped your germs or vice versa.
So we heal with surgery , medications, and I would hope your surgeon or doctor uses gloves and washes their hands before they do anything to you.
I would hope Antonio didn't dry the feet with his hair.

He washed people's feet last week. Saturday he was in a photo next to Mahony blessing the animals at Olvera Street. Sunday he spoke at the sunrise service at the Bowl. What's up??

Now that's a story Antonio can get behind. He's got plenty of "Mary Magdalenes" and similar "workers" hanging in the closets of his sordid past.
Antonio would do ANYthing in trying to WIN a public office. Even if comes down to....... He gave himself COLA before the people HE repesents. He makes PROMISSES not to keep. Have any doubts? Look at past years events and his statments. Reality will SHINE.

Jeepers am I the only not-a-Antonio fan that thought the image of our Mayor washing the feet of the poor was not the worst thing ever printed in a newspaper.
Everybody knows it was done for image but at least the image captured something we all should be about.
I mean what do you want George W in front of a flag excusing torture or the Mayor of our City washing the feet of the poor?
