The Cat Is Out of the Bag - This Blog is History

I had intended to announce this Saturday, but as I thought might happen, a local blog has scooped us on our own story.

A major change is coming to Mayor Sam, and that is, it's hasta la vista baby.

We have had a great run for a year and a half on this blog. Its been an awesome experience.

I'll still have the full story tomorrow morning, or perhaps later tonight, when I have more time to give you details. And then, well that will be it.

In the meantime, blog away dum dums.

"
Random news you should know today - if you don't already: Filmmaker/politician Rob Reiner is being audited :
Seeking the audit, Sen. Dave Cox (R-Fair Oaks) and Assemblyman Dario Frommer (D-Glendale) cited press reports that First 5 spent $23 million in tax money on ads touting the benefits of preschool as Reiner was launching an initiative to fund preschool for 4-year-olds.

Additionally, they said, First 5 and its staff awarded $230 million in contracts to public relations and ad firms that had helped Reiner win the 1998 campaign for Proposition 10, which created First 5. The initiative raised cigarette taxes by 50 cents per pack to pay for the commission and its programs."

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's been pulling strings for sale of the South Central Farm to the people who've been farming it for 14 years.:
Behind the scenes, the mayors administration has been scrambling to negotiate a deal that would allow a third party to buy the property from developer Ralph Horowitz. A likely deal would involve paying Horowitz $50,000 a month for the option to buy his land, while negotiations for a sale continue.

Who other than REINGER is part of First 5 Commission?

There are also concerns that the commission used no-bid contracts to hire consultants close to Reiner and paid out public funds to people working on Reiner's Prop. 82 campaign.

LOS ANGELES - For almost a year, a tell-all blog both entertained and irked City Hall workers with anonymous postings that included profanity-laced rants, personal attacks and gossip.
Now, the people behind Mayor Sam's Sister City - a reference to former Mayor Sam Yorty - have finally come forward.
Turns out that two of the three worked for candidates in this year's mayoral election.
Brian Hay, 29, worked for former Assembly Speaker Bob Hertzberg, who was defeated in the March primary.
Mike Trujillo, 26, served as an unpaid volunteer on Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's campaign and was a spokesman for a preschool ballot initiative headed by actor-director Rob Reiner.
The site's creator, Michael Higby, 40, is a community activist in the San Fernando Valley and wasn't connected to any mayoral candidate.
Hay, who oversaw Hertzberg's computer operations during his mayoral campaign, said he became active with the blog after Hertzberg's defeat in the primary election.
Hertzberg said Thursday that he didn't know Hay was a key figure behind the anonymous blog.
"I probably would have stopped him if I had known," said Hertzberg, who was the chairman of Villaraigosa's transition team.
Trujillo said that Reiner, who also backed Villaraigosa, was unaware of his role with the blog. Reiner, through a spokesman, declined to comment.
Trujillo said he thought people gave the site too much credit for digging up dirt.
"I don't know anything; all I know is the e-mails that I receive and would post," he said. "At no time was it me going around and looking for stuff."
But Bernard Parks Jr., chief of staff for Councilman Bernard C. Parks, another unsuccessful mayoral candidate, said the blog - unlike the mainstream media - usually did not call him to get a response for any negative story about his father.
"It's a very little surprise that one campaign had something to do with it," Parks Jr. said.
The blog contributors said Thursday that they identified themselves because they

TE ACUERDAS?

I am reading all of the posts, one thing does bother me, maybe you can comment Mayor Frank.

Mayor Sam there is no connection, and Mayor Frank connected to Hertzberg, big deal. The one that bothers me is Mr. Michael (Mike) Trujillo.

After reading the posts, I find it odd he disclosed of ten people using his account here at Mayor Sam's Sister City. The 10 people have to be known to him and only him, also he is a behind the scenes operative. This type of shit, he is used to. It does not surprise me that he knowingly blogged here, Villaraigosa, Ace, Skelton and the crew better hope the attorney general does not look further into Trujillo, we might find him going to that freeway you guys tell that cut & paster to go to. Threatening? Who knows?

wow, real dumb-dumbs here.

Anyone looking to actually find the truth and not just repost some old google research will find that the Attorney General cleared everything Reiner did as fine and proper.

Sooo -- so much for the weirdo, crazies getting much traction on the Reiner claim.

As for Prop. 82 -- looks like its going to win big-time.

Now, let's do the math here crazies, trujillo who worked on the villaraigosa campaign making LA history is on the verge of passing the largest tax increase in CA history (in terms of dollars) seems like the guy doesn't lose.

The only ones who lose are the loser crazies who have black helicopters flying overhead everynight.
