Remembering the Four Victims
Today I will be remembering Albert Owens, Yen-Yi Yang, Tsai-Shai Lin, and Yee-Chen Lin. If you don't recognize the names, they are the victims of Stanley "Tookie" Williams.As for whom I won't be paying my respects to:
12:00 PM -- A public memorial service will be held for Stanley "Tookie'' Williams at Bethel A.M.E. Church. 7900 S. Western Ave.

This funeral will be a circus with all the clowns there just for the photo op. I can't believe they're trying to portray this cold blooded killer as a hero. Ask all the murder victims of his CRIPS in South LA what they think of him. Interesting the damn media hardly ever reports the balance of what blacks think of this thug. I am glad they fried his ass.
What about all the other victims of crime over the past 25 years? What makes these victims more worthy of your remembrance than the approximately 33,000 (!) other murder victims in LA Conunty in the past two and a half decades? I see you're not above pushing this media-driven Tookie-obsession. The next time my church (4000+ members) has a peace rally I'll be sure to let you LAT, Daily News, etc. know, and see if you run daily stories about our efforts. Typical.
Agreed poster. The media loves to spin the negative. Look at all the celebrity the murders in jail get. Scott Peterson was in the news almost everyday. Why doesn't one LA reporter with guts do a story on all the black on black crime in the same area? Instead of sending the message that if you kill people and are a gang banger this is what could happen to you, they send the message instead "look at all the media and limelight exposure you will get." Idiot reporters. What's funny is that they always quote Naji Ali who is an ex-felon and on parole from running from the scene of a hit and run. Crediability!!!!!
every death is a loss, i may mourn the death of my own child or father more than i mourn the death of yours, but still i respect and stand silent for a moment in remembrance
the moment i spend on tookie will sure enough be short, but still long enough to remember that he was born innocent as we all are
Tookie helped establish one of the worst plagues on black America - street gangs. This social malformity has resulted in tens of thousands of innocent (and not-so-innocent) deaths.
The four murders that Tookie committed are just those that the evidence supported and not those crimes where witnesses were intimidated into keeping silent.
In the end, he may or may not have genuinely turned from his old ways by writing children's books to undo some of what he personally created.
This hardly makes him a hero, particularly in the black community.
Wait till someone in a prominent gang in CD 14 dies. You asses will be doing the same thing.
AV and his puppet Huizy will show up and talk about how they grew up in bad neighborhood and got out. They'll say "poor vato" and move to the next photo op.
What I don't understand is Tony Robbins showing up to speak there.

That's going to play real well in Corporate America where Tony makes his bread and butter selling cheerleading sessions to companies.
I couldn't believe all the Crip gang bangers who showed up wearing their Blue scarfs around their faces. How cowardly!!! One minister said it best outside. He said its sad we can get these numbers for a funeral but not these same numbers for ballot initiatives that could really make a difference. Not all blacks feel sorry for Tookie the way the media is trying to make it look. All this attention for a cold blooded killer and nothing about the murders of children, seniors and other youth killed for no reason but bored gang bangers out for joy!!!

Keelonnie Roberts, 23, of Torrance, said her father was a Crip who used to tell her tales of gang life.
Although Roberts never met Williams, she said, "He seemed like a sweet man to me."
YEAH RIGHT A NICE MAN WHO KILLED 4 INNOCENT PEOPLE. WONDER WHAT THEY WOULD SAY IF IT WAS THEIR MOTHER OR FATHER TOOKIE KILLED.
Wow, for once I have to agree with everyone here. I consider myself fairly liberal but the man killed four people. This morning on my way to work I heard on the radio about a black man taking his family to the viewing to teach his kids how the white man treats the blacks so poorly. The man KILLED four people! And it is the whites to blame? Gimme a fucking break!

Dumb media spending so much time on this idiot who killed and caused mayhem in his black community. Goes to show that the blacks will use any excuse to be in the media for a dumb cause. I'm sure all the youth in their community really want a role model like the cold blooded killer Tookie was. Then they wonder why they have the highest killings in the city.

Many folks grow out of the gang lifestyle, but you never leave your neighborhood. You never know when you have to go East L.A. on somebody (pull out your shank and kick someone in a fight...LOL) Some folks, even AV are just vatos in suit.
All the more reason to piss and spit on his grave.
How many lives did he ruin by his organizational skills? Not nearly as many as he alleged he saved.
Plus, there is the fact that his conviction was the most reviewed conviction of all time.
He was guilty of being an asshole, and if he really didn't kill those four people, then he was guilty of killing countless others and everyone knows it.

I hear what you're saying. Chris rock said it best, "you have black people and then you have niggers."
Those ppl who would dare bring their kids to a killer's funeral just to show them how "the man" is holding them down are just "niggerant" as chris rock would say.
They are the same entitled "niggerant" idiots who believe that they deserve slave reparations or special treatment. That is another topic that i will not get into because i will be here for hours to the end ranting about that.
Let me get this straight, they were holding Tookie Williams yesterday to a "legend" status and yet this killer started the most notorious gang the Crips in South LA that have killed more innocent black children, seniors and youth. This goes to show how ignorant and uneducated some blacks really are. They are living in teh 60's mentality and will never move their community forward because of this type of thinking. Just like O.J. and Michael Jackson they praise the suspects.
What a bunch of cowards the CRIPS that showed up wearing scarfs. I hope LAPD had survillance and took photos of all of them.
It wasn't just Crips, but Bloods too. What was striking about the whole affair that doesn't get captured is that the vast majority who attended were gang members.
The real stupidity and racism, as I see it, is suggesting that this crowd somehow reflects the sentiments and attitudes of the "black community." That couldn't be further from the truth.
