It's A Christmas Tree
Speaker of the House Denny Hastert is standing firm and urging that the Christmas tree in front of the US Capitol be called, well, a Christmas tree.That's what it is right?
"I strongly urge that we return to this tradition and join the White House, countless other public institutions and millions of American families in celebrating the holiday season with a Christmas tree," said Hastert.
In the last few years, bureaucrats at the Capitol building started calling the tree a "holiday tree." What the hell is a holiday tree? What holiday?
Its like calling a menorah a "seasonal candleabra. " Very silly.

Agree with Hastert. Enough with these inane PC terms like "holiday tree" and "happy holidays". It's Merry Christmas!

Christmas tree it is. Never got what all the fuss is about. Everyone should share whatever their holiday is with everyone else. I'm Catholic but if someone says "Happy Hannukah" or "Happy Kwanzaa" to me, that's great. It IS the spirit after all...isn't it? As for the agnostics & atheists, feel free to head right into "Happy New Year". We can dig it.

. . . which is exactly why the damn government shouldn't be putting one up in the first place. This is an act of endorsing a religion - which the atheistic founding fathers must have been thinking when they put that Anti-God, "separation of church and state" sh*t into the constitution.
