Pacifica Services, who's CEO Ernest Camacho was appointed to the California High Speed Rail Authority by State Senate Presiding Officer (and Trustee Steve Veres Boss) Kevin Alexander of Leon last Spring, has a well-documented past of questionable, ethical dealings with the Central Basin Water District (CBWD), that included a Lawsuit for Over Billing, illegal gifts to CBWD employees and disclosure of "Offensive Conduct (racist, sexist, inappropriate emails)" by Pacifica Staff.

As noted by CityWatch LA Columnist Jack Humphreville in 2015 regarding "certain donors" to his FAILED CD-4 Cit Council Campaign. ........, "many of the Veres donors appear to be part of a network of politicians, candidates for office, government employees, attorneys, and government contractors, including twelve employees of Pacifica Services, a company that is up to its eyeballs involving the corruption at the Central Basin Municipal Water District".

That noted, we must SERIOUSLY question whether Trustee Steve Veres can objectively vote on awarding an important contract when his (and his Boss K.A. Leon's) PAST/CURRENT Pacifica ties are so apparent.

But more PARAMOUNT, is the Political Show of Character (or lack of) that new LACCD President Sydney Kamlager will show in her vote ............., after all, does she want to reward a dubious, politically-connected entity who's Corporate Culture CONDONED thousands of emails (** Please note that these emails are EXTREMELY insensitive and are NOT appropriate for minors under the age of 18) that ......, during a three-year period that disparaged Muslims, Palestinians, Hispanics, Blacks, Asians, Seniors, naked woman, obese people, liberals, immigrants, Wal-Mart shoppers, rednecks, gays and lesbians? We think not-----Scott Johnson.

Will LACCD Board of Trustees President Sydney Kamlager vote to ensure Openness and Transparency in regards to the awarding of Bond-funded Contracts?

From a LACCD Insider: "We all see the dark clouds looming at LACCD. The rumors out there are that x-Pacifica Employees now at Jacobs are calling on firms big and small making threats about future work opportunities while at the same time making outlandish statements on who is in and who is out. We have already had contractors (PACIFICA) walk the halls around here as if they own the place. To hear that they are taking credit for the win is unsettling especially since their ethical work practices are illustrated in the papers".
