The City Clowncil Approves of "PolloFelipe's Scheme" to Evict the STNC

Not wanting to face an agitated Sunland-Tujunga Coomunity, the Los Angeles City Clowncil Central Committee moves quickly (in seven minutes) to approve CD 7 Clowncilman's "PolloFelipe's Scheme" to Evict the Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council from its longtime office.
Not wanting to face (or hiding from) Sunland-Tujunga Constituents has earned the CD 7 "Mini Padilla" the new Moniker of ........., "PolloFelipe".
** Blogger's Note: For a supposed Northeast San Fernando Valley Democratic Machine Member, who exerts his alleged "Political Machismo" by evicting the Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council (STNC) from its longtime office/closet space, was sure quick in hiding under the "procedural skirt" of Los Angeles City Clowncil Central Committee Strongman Herman "Mini Amin" Wesson, when irate STNC Stakeholders came calling before the Horseshoe on Tuesday. The now bestowed CD 7 Clowncilman ........, "PolloFelipe'", had his scheme to evict the STNC from its longtime North Valley City Hall office, approved by his enabling Clowncil Colleagues within the first seven minutes of Tuesday's proceedings, The fast-tracking of "PolloFelipe's" agenda items denied the arriving STNC Stakeholders a opportunity to testify again the punitive actions of the re-election-facing first term Clowncil Member. Below, we post the update of STNC Treasurer Nina Royal regarding "PolloFelipe's" actions (with the help of Clowncil Strongman "Mini Amin" Wesson)----Scott Johnson.

I still have a massive migraine from this morning but here is my update of the city council meeting this morning that I just published on the "Mayor Sam" website:
The City Council Meeting this morning was a disaster for the Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council. Marjorie Maxon and I got in the Chamber 7 minutes late because of the unusual traffic and a line to get into the parking area (later we realized it because there must have been 1,000 people there regarding the 15.00 per hour issue and the surrounding streets were closed.)
Within those 7 minutes the city council voted "yes" on items 49 and 50 because we were not there early enough to put in speaker cards to oppose it. But...afterward they spent over an hour honoring veterans from each district with a speech from each councilmember. If they had done that first we would have had the opportunity to speak to the issues. I am not saying that they don't deserve recognition, they definitely do but it should have been at the beginning like they do on Fridays.
I was so angry I couldn't see straight because not only was I sick, I wasted my time because there wasn't any discussion on it and we missed the opportunity to speak. However, I know for a fact that the Councilmembers each received letters outlining the problem with Fuentes motion and the fact that the NVCH was not empty!.
It should have been postponed because:
No.l- We weren't given adequate notice because we didn't received the agenda until Friday.
No.2- The STNC didn't have enough time to do a Community Impact Statement and have it ratified by the Board in order to submit it.
No.3- The motion was wrong because it said it was in Sylmar.
No.4- The NVCH is not empty as presented by Fuentes and there is not cost saving as he presente. It will cost the city more because the STNC will not be able to continue the cost saving they perform for the city.
No.5- Neighborhood Councils are part of the city and formed to bring government closer to the people. The STNC and the community was not consulted before these plans to evict them from their quarters where they have been for 11 years
.
No.6- The Neighborhood Council has been disrespected because Fuestes has refused to meet with the people and answer questions.
No.7- There is no logical reason that the STNC and the LAPD cannot co-exist in the same building as they did when the Community Development Department was there temporary a few years ago. They can also have their office in Room 104.
No.8- The STNC and the City have a Memorandum of Understanding with a CUP, along with a key allowing the use of the facility for past 11 years. The terms and conditions of CUP has never been compromised and there is no valid reason for Fuentes to take it away in order to monitor and control the meetings.
No.9- LA Family Housing and the LA Conservation Corp are 501C3 and not part of the LA City Family as is the NC's. They should not have first use of any city building over Neighborhood Councils.
Neighborhood Councils have no recourse from actions like this because they are part of the city and cannot sue itself. (however, that shouldn't stop other organizations or individuals from doing so.)
However, if Councils members do not support their communities as well as their Neighborhood Councils as outlined in the City Charter, but, prefer to bully them instead, because they are also voters, they will recall or vote that councilmember out of office at election time.
BTW. we both did speak during General Comments. I showed my anger and mentioned how Fuentes "mis-spoke" about the NVCH being empty and not having adequate time to respond and kicking the STNC and the LAPD Sub-Station out of the building. Also, that they slapped 96 Neighborhood Councils in the face. Marjorie was a Firecracker and called Fuentes a liar.etc.You can watch it on the City Council website. It's after the Veterans Ceremony.
