Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Thursday

With no apologies to "The Old Gray Collectivist Hag on Spring Street" (aka LA Times), CD 8 City Councilman Bernard Parks emerges again from some supposed "wilderness banishment" to keyboard another refreshing, salient missive on the current state of affairs at 200 Spring Street ........, and beyond
Contrary to the summery of misallocated story budgeting at the LA Times, Councilman Parks is all smiles.

We have a bloggin admission to make this Thursday A.M.
Once there was a time when we thought that a certain ex LAPD Chief, turned CD 8 City Councilman, personified the true meaning of bitterness. Thus, was coined the moniker "Bitter Bernie".
But as we near the appointed July 1, 2015 Political Sunset of the three terms CD 8 Councilman Parks, the truth is that City Hall is about to lose its last candid, refreshing voice of fiscal and ethical accountability ........, mixed with a under reported Sense of Humor.
If Downtown News Editor Jon Regardie is the reigning "Scribe of Wit" among print media scribes, then the recent musings of the sadly, termed out CD 8 Officeholder, surely stand above the rest of the Clowncil Central Committee assemblage, for comedic, mixed with factual value.
Consider the opening paragraph from this week's missive in "MSM City Watch", regarding the recent Clowncil Central Committee vote to raise the Minimum Wage for large hotel workers above $15 dollars per hour .............
When you were in elementary school, do you remember being asked what you wanted to be when you grew up? You might’ve answered a doctor, lawyer, basketball player, veterinarian…now housekeeper, valet or bellhop may be added to that list (what about blogger? But I digress).
Contrary to the recent musings of the "Old Gray Collectivist Hag on Spring Street", Councilman Parks is in a positive, comedic place and that comes despite the best efforts of former Failure Mayor Antonio Villar and his diminutive City Clowncil Central Committee Strongman Herman "Mini Amin" Wesson to redraw the boundaries of a political banishment, that now awaits its date in court.
......., and as that court date seems certain to happen (more on that Monday), rest assure that the weeks ahead will be blessed with more comedic missives via Councilman Parks.
** This is too funny but so true, Kevin "The Westside White Guy" Roderick goes on bloggin vacation, but the chisme via his LA Times moles prompts taking a break from leisurely activities, to keyboard an exclusive on new Times Publisher Austin Beutner's pending role in the Editorial Board's endorsement in the LA County Board of Supervisor's Third District Campaign. Take note in the excerpt below how the "WWG's" Times moles are attempting to undercut the Editorial Authority of their new Publisher, with the leaking of certain information ........,
At the Times, as at most papers, the publisher is the last word on editorials and endorsements and can overrule the editorial board's consensus if he or she chooses. In this case, Beutner is a financial contributor to Shriver's campaign, chipping in (per the county's website) $1,500 as recently as June 26, after the primary and before he became publisher of the Times. When Kuehl went in for her endorsement interview after the primary, I'm told, Beutner took an active role in the questioning of her.
......., seems to me that the Collectivists on the Editorial Board are seeking to protect a "Zelda Endorsement".
Your thoughts ..............

Ha, Bernie does have a wit, and he is correct, add his suggestions to the list. This rarely get into the discussion, that is entry level jobs, where having a job and what goes along with it, in the beginning is far more important that the $$ you make having it. If and adult makes a career flipping burgers what will the high school kid do for first time job.
