46th Assembly District Candidate Brian Johnson's Open Letter to Fellow Candidates

46th Assembly District Candidate Brian Johnson has a message for .....  his fellow candidates.
** Blogger's notes: Here is the latest from our 46th AD Race "Spin Mail Box" via Brian Johnson ( no relation to this blogger)---Scott Johnson

Dear Laurette, Andrew and Adrin,

cc: Media

You may have heard by now of that I am openly supporting Senator Padilla’s bill which streamlines the process of removing teachers charged with sexual misconduct and violence towards children out of the classroom. I am stunned that the California Teachers Association, the teachers union, is opposed to a bill that ultimately makes our classrooms safe and helps to ensure that our children get the best possible education.   The bill passed the State Senate this past Tuesday by a vote of 33-4, which means that many members of the Senate share my point of view – that we need to protect our children from bad teachers.

Although we might disagree on how we have run our campaigns or on policies we want to bring to Sacramento, I’m hoping this is one issue we can all agree on: children at schools need to be protected from those who are hurting them.

This bill strikes the right balance between providing reasonable protections to teachers while removing the most dangerous ones from the classroom. Yet, CTA has chosen to prioritize a small number of dangerous teachers over the safety of all of our children.

As I previously wrote to CTA, we actually agree on most of the issues, but this is one subject where we stand worlds apart. Will you stand with me in asking CTA to drop their opposition to SB1530? Can our kids count on you to stand up for them?

I look forward to your response. Regardless of what happens Tuesday, I hope to work with all of you in the future to fight for the 46th Assembly District. Good luck, and feel free to call me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Brian C. Johnson

P.S. I started a petition on this matter. Would you mind emailing it out if you agree that we need to stop playing politics with our children’s safety?

And those Gatto truthers say that Mayor Sam is getting paid by Eric Hacopian. Maybe they need to take down that post or get a lawyer letter?

So - no more "innocent until proven guilty"? Of course if the charges are proved true -- but just being accused should lead to being fired? The Crucible comes to mind....

Brilliant move by Johnson. He found his straw man and is winning the argument. Now he's trying to build allies against the CTA by asking them, you don't support pedophiles, do you? All three should say they support the bill, and let the CTA continue to trash him. By the way, how many kids does Johnson have? His press releases make it seem like he has children.
