KFI' John and Ken posted this YouTube video by Burbank Journalist Peter Musurlian which features him being evicted from a Assemblyman Mike Gatto Townhall Event in Glendale. In honor of Peter's investigative videos reaching a greater audience, we present the "Assemblyman Mike Gatto YouTube Festival".

"It's always been an easy move to bash the disliked, but the truth is that such demagoguery is rapidly becoming cliche," freshman Assemblyman Mike Gatto (D-Silver Lake) said in a written statement. "I now have to explain to my wife and daughter that we won't be able to pay the bills because a politician chose to grandstand at our expense." From Gatto's "Temper Tantrum".
Gatto should have written that for his own catharsis and promptly ripped it up. There was no demagoguery in Chiang's statement, unless someone might consider this to be: "The [budget] numbers simply did not add up."
And, frankly, it's inconceivable that Gatto's constituents would really give a hoot about his having to explain the family finances at home.

To be fair, Skelton parroted the union line that Chiang's move was a bad one. Though he chided Gatto for his tantrum tactics, Skelton essentially agrees with Gatto's point.
Awesome, so great to see this ass hole exposed for what he is.
Love the videos, who is this guy? some one should do these on the rest of the members of the legislature. Imagine what he can do with the Calderon clan.
How the hell do people like Gatto get elected to any thing?
I heard Gatto voted against the Dream Act is that true? How the hell does he win a Latino seat if he does that?

This is a true lack of accountability. How is it that a member of the press can be outed for trespassing in a town hall meeting with less than 50% attendance? Was he doing the same thing while running for his office? Any bets he gets re-elected?

Gatto voted against the Dream Act? Do you have proof of that? I think if he did vote against that John Perez would withold his cookies and milk.

The reporter should have filed personnel complaints against the Sgt. and the Lt.. What part of PUBLIC library do they not understand? Gatto is going around blaming Anthony Portantino and his operatives of working behind the scenes for blowing this issue out of proportion.
Gatto is moving out to the 45th so he does not have to deal with the constant harrasment from local activists.

Where is the statement on his apology? Or are we waiting for his wife to write it. And hiring Trujillo will never pay off, especially when that mailer of Giffords hits the voters.
Red Spot likes to say Gatto lives with mommy, but many commenters who seem credible have said Red Spot lives with HIS mommy. Would Red Spot care to set the record straight with a simple yes or no?
Just wondering: are there any regulations or case law specifically addressing this elected official-public place-public forum-right to film issue? Where's ACLU on this subject?

I am appaled by this Gatto guy. I am a resident of his district and he shows nothing but disdain for everyone he represents. His interest is only in himslef and his self gain and nothing more. The Democratic Party should be ashamed of this immature self centered person. He needs to GO.
I've been in the Caucasus (Georgia & Armenia) since June 16, shooting a documentary. I return on 6-28. My I-Phone Internet has been hit and miss, but I did get to listen (on KFI's on- demand feature) to the food drive at Gatto's office. Very funny stuff. They are a few of us that knew Gatto would implode. It was only a matter of time. I think if he's such a smart and savvy politician, he should go on John & Ken and actually answer questions for once in his public career. Hiding behind consultants, staffers, weak journalists and prepared statements can only work for so long. It looks like he will spend the rest of his adult life in a "fulfilling" private-sector capacity. I hear he's an "educator." That job teaching ESL one night a week is very likely waiting for him.

The scary part is this Gatto guy is actually voting on laws and taxes that have a direct impact on all of our lives. No wonder the state is a mess with districts electing people like this guy.
