Los Angeles Politics Hotsheet for Monday
Rich Goodman is running for City Council on $4,000. He might win. Okay, back to reality, his opponent, incumbent Tony Cardenas is backed by the developer-union holy alliance that owns this City. But then again Goodman got the endorsement of the LA Times and Cardenas won in 2007 with fewer votes than that which could fill the Nokia Theatre. So who knows.
While he tries to get a higher than allowed fence for his Mayoral manse, Antonio Vilaraigosa wants to scale back benefits for retired city workers.
We've been calling on the City of Los Angeles to sell the money losing Ontario Airport for some time. The City of Ontario would love to buy it and be in control of their own destiny. Finally, a broke LA is sensing it might not be a good idea to run an airport in a whole other county.
And finally congratulations to the Franklin Avenue Blog as it turns eight years old. In blog years, that's a lifetime!

Calling Cardenas exactly what he is! Why is it that these vertically disadvantaged leaders always get that Napoleonic complex?
Has anyone seen the video below about Luis Sanchez. Mayor Sam, can you put this on your front page Before voting for School Board, you have to see this. It will bring our election to a close.

I don't know who I'll vote for tommorrow of School Board. It just won't be Luis Sanchez. I've been at forums and he's extremly rude.
