Great, diverse turnout today at North Hollywood's Mayflower Club for the Clean Sweep LA Coalition. Clean Sweep LA is the brainchild of former Daily News Editor Ron Kaye and a diverse group of Los Angeles activists, who want to restore ethics to the dysfunctional, City of Los Angeles political culture.
In addition to the speakers pictured above, the likes of former Mayoral Candidate Walter Moore, Laborers Union Leader Gerardo Almeida and Campaign Consultant John Thomas, took time at microphone, to tout the virtues of a diverse coalition, intent to restore ethics to 200 Spring Street.
Today's festivities did not go unotice by the elites at City Hall, courtesy of the racial-tinged comments of Mayor Parkervillar's political crony Michael "The Drivin Ms. Daisy of LA Politics" Trujillo, which were posted by "Mulholland Terrace" at the Griffith Park Wayist Blog.
It should be notice here, that Trujillo is speculated to be the consultant for CD 14 Councilman Jose Huizar's Re-election Campaign. This should cause consternation to the numerous CD 14 activists in attendence today. After all, irresponcible allegations of racism, will not go over well.
More later...........
Your thoughts..............

Republicans aren't racist? You should step away from the blogs long enough to google what some high-ranking Republicans are saying. Disgusting.

Only Scott Johnson could write the incomprehensive:
"It should be notice here, that Trujillo is speculated to be the consultant for CD 14 Councilman Jose Huizar's Re-election Campaign"

The fact is that the leadership of this group have people with views that are considered racist in it and are extremely right-wing & conservative. They appear to be LA's answer to the Tea Party. They don't represent but a small portion of LA residents and are mainly white, live in the Valley and angry at most everything the City does, even if it is a progressive action. This group does not deserve the support of progressive minded residents, let alone any voters.

To 6:54 AM. If you couldn't afford the $20 you could still have got in, just by asking. Somebody had to pay for the hall and food. Are you saying $20 kept you out? Good grief.

This group, including Walter Moore, are in no way, shape or form racists. The people who make this false claim are pathetic hate mongers. And, this group is comprised of demcrats, republicans and independents. Quit the lies and b.s.

Usually the person who is labeling a group "racist" is pretty comfortable being one themselves, ie La Raza, Maldf, the powerful service unions and wasn't the origins of the KKK democratic? The name callers are generally looking out for "cheap labor" to exploit, free social programs and a group once a minority now a majority who are not above the law when they are invited to illegally enter our country to live via the taxpayer's dollar. This has nothing to do with racism, (don't deviate), it has to do with cleaning house in the corrupt City Hall offices where apathy has allowed these career politicians to live large and accomplish NOTHING. Citizens of Los Angeles are not sleeping anymore and that is why the name calling will begin, no one is listening anyhow.
The attempt to deflect attention from City Council and the Assembly people of Sacramento to direct attention to Arizona is simply to create a diversion due to the fact they can not create nor adhere to a budget in Los Angeles. This will become crystal clear as the smoke and mirrors of this boycott becomes "transparent". When you can not acheive anything fruitful play the blame game.
By the way "progressives" are the most "destructive" mindless zombies and are not wanted in this group of motivated individuals who will not tolerate this inability to run the City by those who are inept. We will vote them out and hopefully vote in some new blood who are not on the dole for large unions, special interest groups while weeding out the corruption that comes with political power.

Trust in government
The ability of governments and the global community to achieve the Millennium Development Goals, ensure security, and promote adherence to basic standards of human rights depends on people's trust in their government. However, public trust in government and political institutions has been declining in both developing and developed countries in the new millennium. One of the challenges in promoting trust in government is to engage citizens, especially the marginalized groups and the poor, into the policy process to ensure that governance is truly representative, participatory, and benefits all members of society. Where governance processes are exclusionary and basic services are not accessible, intrastate conflicts and violence within the country can negatively impact national and global security and peace. Weak systems and processes of governance tend to erode trust in government. Within this context, the issue of how to build trust in government and trust between socio-economic actors has emerged as an increasingly important issue in both developed and developing economies.

YJ Draiman for Mayor of Los Angeles 2013
YJ Draiman for Mayor - proposes a Los Angeles City government for the people by the people, let us take back our city, it is long overdue to listen and address the concerns of the people of Los Angeles. Implement fiscal responsibility; restore trust and integrity in our government. This starts from the Mayor on down to the rest of government officials.
We must stop wasting revenues and resources, implement efficiency and productivity. These are hard economic times; in order for us to survive, we must take immediate action and implement the necessary actions to lessen the impact.
This starts at the top – “Lead by example”, leadership starts the pattern and the rest will follow.
