Boy Did We Really Leave a Hole!
I'm not seeing much of anything interesting on the local blogs these days when it comes to the LA scene. Apparently billboards is the main issue in LA. If it's not it's what kind of oddball thing you can eat. Or you can see a 24 hour live clown show at another blog.
However there is one exception. The folks at Griffith Park Wayist are not only doing a better job at the daily city hotsheet type deals but they have all kind of fun stuff like the bird of the day and excellent in-depth reporting on the state of things like the City's parks and libraries.
So if you want LA politics - go to Griffith Park Wayist.
I'm retired but we'll brew some stuff up soon as the Burros can get together and figure it all out.

I would like to bring Mayor Sam back on the Barbara Walters plan.

Like the View???

That's good Phil because even a dead blog gets more comments than the clown show.

Anybody home?
I will take the lead in restarting Mayor Sam if granted the wish.

BTW, what with the Nuch bashing by the "terrorist"??

Red Spotch,
You can't use the Constitution like a cafeteria, to pick that clause to abide by and that one to ignore. That's what white trash teabaggers do, and that's what's up with the Carmen the Clown bashing.

I miss this place.
What is the Barbara Walters plan? Work when you want?
Red Spot in CD 14 said:
"White Trash Tea-Baggers", hmmm
How about pill-poppin, Modelo drinkin, liberal elitist?
But then I am speaking in code when I reference Richard "Zorro Marxist" Alarcon, go figure.....

You left a hole alright. The Wayist is fine, but doesn't have the political depth.
Hope you let Red Spot get this place goin again!

Come back Higby - Los Angeles needs you!

Wayist isn't trying to be Mayor Sam.
There's only one. For better or... no.
For better.

Retired? How old are you? You look too young to retire. I'll bet you're sulking.
It's not a suck-up, but you are a talented blogger. A bit touched in the head regarding your politics. But, you have a knack about storytellin bloggin.
I don't think you get it. Don't you clearly understand "the times we're in". It's a phenomental time for opportunity, with print media morphing into online media. You don't need to be Wayist "boring", Ron "chicken little, the sky is falling" Kaye, or Zuma "a disaster waiting to happen" Dogg. You're Mayor "politico disasters waiting to happen watchdog" Sam. It's not that you need to stay within that vein, though. Look at HuffPo, 25 million readers a month (goooood luck, but it's an possible aspiration).
What else? Ohhh. Lamenting that you didn't move to pig country, Iowa. I was right, way back then, about our current circumstances. But for some, the fight's here. Pick your spots. Don't directly fight the rip tide or get in the way of an ocean liner.
Me? Heading to Oregon.

Yeah, come back Higby - Rumpole AKA David Berger needs a reliable forum to bash anyone who dares call out Carmen the Clown, for the bully and pick-and-choose from constitutional liberties magnet of "white trash teabaggers" that he is.
Red Splat just did it to Tim Rutten on the Wayist for daring to call a "bully" who prosecutes "by tantrum" for what he is, but as Red Splat writes here about himself, he is waiting for himself to return here where he can be as uncivil and random as he likes.

Things are about to get very exciting here in L.A.
I'm speaking at the UNION protest at the Mayors House this morning. Who knew?

Word on the street is that you were told to get lost by the protesters and not allowed to speak! Embarrassing isn't it?
