LAUSD Superintendent DAVID BREWER Delivers Inspiring Leadership Speech At Annual Meeting (Passed ZD's "Deming Checklist" with an "A+")
Oh no...Zuma Dogg may now only be the #2 top Deming expert in the City after LAUSD Superintendent David Brewer, III delivered his (first) Annual Meeting speech to LAUSD educators, yesterday.
As skeptical as I am of the new mayoral-backed majority school board, I am here to say, if nothing else, Superintendent Brewer did what ZD has probably never actually seen delivered in a real life setting: An inspiring leadership speech that passed the Deming checklist flawlessly. For those of you who hear me speak about Deming, and how his methods need to be implemented and are maybe wondering what that means in the real world; start by watching Brewer's speech on this video and the entire speech is posted below:

ZD, I love ya baby, but read today's LA Slimes article about how UNINSPIRING the attendees found Brewers' schpiel. Villaraigosa loses again.
With all due respect Zuma .... after reading the LA Slimes today ....I don't think one speech is going to do much. With all the payroll problems that are still ongoing at LAUSD as well as the removal of Vince Carbino from Santee High, it seems that more than talk is needed to solve these LAUSD problems.
LAUSD will be running off the best teachers to other districts because of the payroll problems and they are firing a principal just before the school year starts. Not a good move. It looks like the new year will not be getting off to a good start.
It's like Villar hired a demographic instead of a problem solver. No disrespect to Mr. Brewer, but where are his qualifications in running a school district? He's as qualified as a former Governor. And we all know how that turned out. But this is what happens when your mayor is a cheatin' street thug in a suit.
These posts are so demonstrative of how the blind lead the blind around Zuma Dogg.
Not only did Antonio not hire Brewer, he was hired over the voiced objection of the Mayor by a School Board that had lost its majority and several members of which were leaving in a number to turn the survivors into the minority. It was the last act of a bunch of losers.

I try to follow yuor words and advice, and clearly yuour teaching me to understand the brilliant Professor Deming has made a huge inmpact on the LAUSD, the City of Los Angeles, The State of California, The United States of America, and the entire Northern Hemisphere.
Let me go on - I think your teachings have affected world wide communication, even perhaps intergalactic communication as well.

And while you're making such claims, how about backing it up by showing us some of Brewer's credentials for the job. As the kids in the LAUSD say, "he ain't got none relatable creds, yo."

Speaking of LAT, while ZD is going after the Killer Whales and Big Sharks in affordable housing, LAT may be only going after the sardines. Today’s LAT article (8/25/2007), “Housing agency fires auditor”, the electronic online version is now 3 paragraphs shorter than the printed version - missing the last 3 short paragraphs. 3 very short paragraphs missing. Wow!!! What is going on?

One would think that it would be the other way around. A shorter version may be need to fit the printed page, and the electronic version would have no space limitation and can remain slightly longer. But, no, not here.
What is in the 3 missing paragraphs?

I am going to retype one missing paragraph (found in the printed paper):
“The Estrada Courts group, a nonprofit run out of an Eastside housing project, received four contracts collectively worth about $95,000. It has employed former City Councilman Richard Alatorre as a consultant.”
Richard Alatorre? The mentor and current senior advisor to Mayor V; and the mentor to and former boss of Robin K?
The remaining two paragrpahs named Gustavo Valdivia, the former staff member of current Councilman Jose Huizar; and also named former Councilman Nick Pacheco.
Did someone call LAT’s editor to remove those 3 paragraphs???
Perhaps the killer whales and big sharks are regarded as endangered species and need special protection? But we seem to have way too many of them in our waters already!
Brewer had nothing to do with the computer fiasco with the school. Ask Huizar who his friends were that got the contract? Ask Monica who her friends were? That problem began more than two years ago. Brewer is blamless. It is his job to clean up Huizar's mess.

With reference Brewer. He started as a swabbie in the U.S. Navy. He became an Admiral. That is the equilivant of running a very large 500 fortune comany. Please name anyone in LUSD, the City of Los Angeles administration etc, who have achieved as much?
Can Brewer solve the problems? If he can put the major fires out or quell them until a solution has been effected; he will survive. Think about the 8 points; its the receipe for success in any company IF PEOPLE FOLLOW IT.
