Many of you know that I have not "gone there" regarding the dispicable, selfish, wrecking ball behavior of Mayor Antonio Viagraosa because everyone else in covering it, and I like to give other issues more attention.
People sent me the Villaraigosa is screwing Mirthala story at least a month before it broke -- and I left it alone to focus on other issues. And there is a lot of other info I left to others.
And over the past year, the people getting paid by our "sad, emotionally challenged $300 million dollar Universal deal wrecking, cheating and lying, betray everyone who supported you and wreck your whole family Mayor -- have been spinning personal attacks and are yet to catch me on content. However, I feel the attacks have gotten especially weak.

I've become convinced that the mayor's staff and friends are actually feeding bullshit to that moron Zuma Dogg and other bloggers like porno fanatic Luke Ford-- who will post anything! -- in an attempt to make the "scandal" so absurd and repugnant that serious reporters will begin back off in disgust. Today's CityWatch, Brady Whitewater, has a long and detailed article ripping to shred our brilliant Zuma's "Grand Illusion" article in the weak- kneed Weekly fishwrap -- which really will be seen as the fishwrap it is all over town now.
Brady starts out tht "Unfortunately, not a one of the many questions that stsill need to be asked -- was ever asked," notes it has "numerous factual errors, reflecting the reporter's lack of first-hand knowledge of the events... or understanding of the players and their relationship with each other."
This is just the complementary part: Brady then makes a laundry list of "other points that don't make sense...a number of logical inconsistencies...apples and oranges types of comparisons that make no sense." But he does thank Zuma because "everyone downtown got a serious laugh," and notes that "the closing line is...really bizarre." Throw in lack of any journalistic standards like cross- checking comments to see if the respondents really were disagreeing with each other (not), etc. etc.
And all this idiocy and inaccuracy was achieved with a lot of editing help by the fishwrap staff.
Your little self-adoration society notwithstanding, you exposed yourself as a fool, and -- on the bright side -- further removed any doubt that may have still existed, that the fishwrap is a real paper.

5:49am, I was thinking the same thing this morning, how insulting it is that when they want to go for the big anti-zd attack, they throw in the word "gay".
But I won't delete that because it is not against the law to be gay.
But when you start throwing in the "child" angle (as people on this blog have now posted against two newspaper reporters in the past 24 hours. (And I deleted the comments regarding the other news reporter because the poster did not provide any evidence.)
As being the child of molestation, from a priest and two members of my family, I know of what I speak. Like most I kept quiet until I was adult enough to tell the family when we found the same man offended four of us. I never chose to go to confession with that priest again. A man I worked with was arrested in the office when someone found it was TRUE that he manipulated his step-children.

Shall we have a polite race tomorrow morning in the Marina? Yes, lets. Say eight o'clock? And while we're at it, let's also invite three of my Five who can also aptly command their own ships to make it a little more interesting, savvy? To all you government employees out there whose bosses want them to stay off the blog. I agree you shouldn't do it during working hours. no biggie...I just chose to blog about other issues that the community could do something about. For all the top level experts everyone has beome on the relationship, that isn't going to help you activate the community to help make the streets safer, of help reform the schools, or help appeal a skyscraper project in violation of zoning and environemental laws that they will drop ontop your home after they claim eminemt domain while they raise your taxes and use un-documented construction workers to build it.
Wendy has had her "kid" more humanely known as a "child," there only a few times -- and the Mickey Mouse visit was a tie-in to celebrating Disneyland or something official, as I distinctly recall. She deserves a lot of credit for doing that grueling (pun intended) job even with a small kid (who was around 2 when she started); and although you childless kid-haters don't seem to have woken up to this fact, kids pay visits to most workplaces these days on occasion.
Plus schoolkids visit all CM offices and it's great for all.
Remember JFK and his kids playing under his desk? There's one male U S Senator who proudly shows off the playpen in his office. As a parent, you can be sure the only people who object to seeing "little paper- shufflers" is kid-haters like you.
Almost always, an environment that tries to be so pompous it literally frowns on all kids all the time, is filled with mean people, and when that happens, work efficiency and moral actually go down.

I saw some Zuma t-shirts at the 99c store near McArthur Park and also at one in S M near Venice: they still didn't sell, even less popular than the ones for Vanilla Ice Reunion Tour. A store manager told me they are going to try packaging them with cheap sunglasses and caps as Halloween outfits, to scare the kids. If they can afford it, there will be a button you can push, and the plastic head will start screaming: "You piece of sh-t! I hate kids! Get out of here before I eat you, how dare you come asking ME for candy, you little useless creep!"
A second button will add, if the little creep hasn't run away crying yet: "Leave the begging to bums like me, you useless little candy eater and paper shuffler! Go get a job so you can give me money, so I can go and torture your parents!"

Ha ha ha ha ha!! For such a useless, unimportant, homeless guy who just seems like something of a zealous citizen excersising his rights, this ZD person sure gets an awful lot of highly animated and agitated comments ALL the time from a lot of people who don't like him and want to tell him how unimportant and useless he is! Does anyone besides me notice the comedy and irony in all this?
Only because he, and obviously you, are stupid enough to actually believe your own press...people spend a lot of time swatting flies, cleaning up oil spills and pollution, just to return things to their untainted state. It's impossible to function with crass, stupid and smelly people around who degrade the environment.

So, like any good salesman, he is sending his troops on the road to try to get the message out, as well as gather feedback on what community leaders would like to see.
Deputy Mayor Larry Frank, the affable liaison to neighborhood councils, has been meeting with various leaders in quasi-focus groups, accompanied by department heads from city agencies including Transportation, Environmental Affairs and Public Works.

"Stars" Over LA
I think I've finally figured out what is wrong with my home town, Los Angeles. Most people complain that there are too many illegal aliens. I respectfully disagree. LA's problem is too many celebrities.
In a recent essay, I described the "crime spree" by socialite, Paris Hilton. Since she served her "hard time" in the LA County Jail, she has more or less kept a low profile-except of course for her appearance on the "Larry King on Life Support" show. Meanwhile, her pal, Nicole Ritchie, has just pleaded guily to DUI and been sentenced to a few days in "Sheriff to the Stars", Lee Baca's guest house. (It took me about three years to figure out who Paris Hilton was. Now I have to educate myself on Nicole Ritchie. I have no clue who she is, but she's famous.)
Then there is the latest "Trial of the Century", the murder trial of music producer, Phil Spector. If you have a good memory, perhaps you recall the night four years ago, when he was arrested for the murder of actress, Lana Clarkson in his home. Well, the trial finally started, and Spector (or I should say his lawyer) is claiming that the lady shot herself in spite of the testimony of Spector's driver that the producer came out of the house and said,"I think I've killed someone."
However, since the driver is Brazilian, the lawyer is trying to convince the jury that he doesn't speak English well enough. Actually, Spector really said,"To know him is to love him." Yeah, that's the ticket. The foreigner just misunderstood.
Remember Henry Lee, the hired-gun criminalist who helped OJ Simpson get off? Well, he has resurfaced, sort of. Lee has hired himself out to Spector's defense team. During a defense inspection tour of the Spector home, Lee reportedly picked up something from the floor (speculated to be a piece of the victim's fingernail), which has not been seen since. Lee recently went to China. Maybe he is still there. Maybe he will stay there rather than explain his actions in court.
Meanwhile, LA's mayor, Tony Villar, er....Villaraigosa, is continuing his PR tour of public appearances to show he is still involved in the day to day operation of the city. Yet, each time his honor dedicates a new manhole cover, the questions about his Telemundo reporter paramour, Mirthala Salinas, persist. In his latest declaration on the affair, Villaraigosa expressed his confidence that the internal Telemundo investigation would exonerate Salinas from any charges of unprofessional conduct!!??! OK, I guess, as they say, it's time to move on.
Meanwhile, Rocky Delgadillo, the City Attorney, continues to hang tough in spite of his scandals involving misappropriation of government vehicles and government employees for personal use. Rumors arose recently that City Councilman, Jack Weiss was poised to take over as City Attorney. Who is Jack Weiss, you ask? ......... You don't want to know.
So let's move on to the mother of all current scandals-Lindsey Lohan. (I'm just learning who she is too-I don't care much about Hollywood.) You know, back in 1966, I was going through US Army MP School at Ft Gordon, Ga. We had an instructor (a sergeant) who taught our traffic accident investigation courses. This guy should have been a stand up comedian because he kept us in stitches. His central theme centered around "Crash" Corrigan, a mythical driver who got into an accident every time he got behind the wheel. In one story, Granny Skaggs was driving to the store when she crossed an intersection and got creamed by "Crash" Corrigan on his way home from the hospital. I mention this because Ms Lohan's misadventures behind the wheel bring back funny memories about Mr Corrigan.
According to "reports", Lohan was attending a Malibu party and invited a friend-who invited a couple of other friends-who were sitting in the car in the driveway because (according to the reports) that was as far as they could get to the house where all the "stars" were partying. Lohan, meanwhile, was reportedly getting pretty well oiled inside and proceeded to get into a shouting match with her "assistant" who promptly quit her assistantship and left the party. Lohan then, reportedly, (Hey-I don't want to get sued.) commandeered the car where the friends of the friend were sitting and tore off down Pacific Coast Highway in pursuit of the ex-assistant at speeds of about 100 mph-according to the friends of the friend, who were still unwitting passengers. According to their testimony, they begged her to slow down, whereupon Lohan reportedly answered to the effect that she was a F......... celebrity and nothing was going to happen to her. Eventually losing her target in the chase, Lohan then proceeded to the assistant's mother's house, arriving just as the mother was arriving. Lohan behold, another high-speed chase ensued through the streets of Santa Monica, "Crash Corrigan" in hot pursuit of Granny Skaggs. Somewhere along the way, one of the terrified passengers, jumped out of the car only to get his foot run over by Lohan. Meanwhile, the terrified mother was on her cell phone to the police screaming for help. Finally, Lohan was cornered by Santa Monica Police in the parking lot of the Santa Monica Civic Center. At this point, the f.............celebrity told police that she wasn't driving the car, that "it was the black guy" (one of the passengers). What's more, police found a baggie of cocaine in her pants pocket, which Lohan still insists wasn't hers. But, Lindsey, wasn't the cocaine in your pants pocket? How is this for an ironclad alibi?--- "I was wearing someone else's pants!" If the pants don't fit.........Case dismissed!
So now the local media is all abuzz that Ms Lohan is next in line to enjoy the hospitality of Sheriff Baca. Then, when she gets out, she can do the boo hoo hoo routine on "Larry King on Life Support". At least the stupid shows like Access Hollywood with their boot-licking sycophant announcers like Pat O'Brien can keep their gigs a while longer. Me, I just wish Hollywood would pack up the whole operation and move the movie capital to Peoria. Access Peoria-How does that sound?

You forgot to throw in sourpuss Judge Sauer who dragged Paris out of jail and in and out of a media frenzy, when in fact, she'd served all the time that Richie will for a more serious offense -- if you count going the wrong-way on a freeway while DUI reasonably serious -- in Glendale.
(Not a celebrity mecca, almost Peoria by Hollywood standards.)
As for Rocky: just today his latest press secretary, Johnny Diammond, announced he can't keep spinning this guy (who won't even come out of hiding long enough to answer any questions about why he couldn't check to see if his ditzy wife had insurance for the pair of them, seeing as she overlooked her own DL and business licence...). Used to be a sr. editor at the L A Business Journal, but now, he'd rather be unemployed than stay with this guy.
Daily News reports that in Sacramento, the Assembly members can let any family member drive their cars for personal reasons, and all repairs are unquestioned. So he can run for that, and his wife can crack up all the cars she wants at our expense.
Of course, the salary is lower, but since Rocky is really employed by the billboard company CBS Outside/ Clear Channel -- who donated $450,000 to his '01 election, over a guy, Feuer, who had coincidentally vowed to end billboard blight -- and that's the one "account" he has continued to fight for as C A, I'm sure he can find some change to get by on.
Better yet. he can just go work as a lobbyist for them, and crack up their cars.
You forgot to throw in Yvonne Brentwood Burke, who's supposed to live in her district, but only has a townhome there she can't live in because it's "not up to my par."
She claims she thought that owning the place was enough to qualify as a resident, yet took care to sneak to and from her townhouse every morning and evening to "fool" the public. Commendable energy, too bad it's not put to better use.
Then we have the other Supe, Zev Y, who came out blasting last weekend that "developers control this city' and "we need to take our city back," forgetting that he is turning one of the crown jewels of his district, Marina del Rey, into Miami Beach -- evicting long-time marinas and boat owners. And he's sold off pretty much anything saleable in the Santa Monica Mtns. rather than sell them to the Mtns. Conservancy for preservation.
Lohan and Paris and Britney: don't give them a breath or a bother. "Ladies" who forget to wear their panties in front of a hundred cameras with their legs delicately uncrossed, or "forget" that cameras are rolling while having sex, or Lohan, who earned the nickname... well, never mind, but regarding well-known defects regarding her own nether-regions, have greater issues than poor driving skills.
And of course, they do all this for the purpose of making themselves more saleable "commodities," with the full adoration of the public.
Compared to this bunch, our elected officials are dull and downright prudish models of virtue. But what passes for "glamour" in Hollywood, won't fly for our poor officials.
And the thing is, I don't think people are any better in Peoria.
