Where's The Fire?

I'm back! As of last night I am finally wired here at the new Mayor's Mansion and will be getting back in the thick of things.

I would have something valuable for you folks these evening, but just as I was sitting down at the computer, all of the bells went off our building. Two engines and a hook and ladder showed up as my neighbors and I gathered on the street.

Turns out...it was a false alarm. That's good cause I had laundry to do.

I want to thank Zuma Dogg, Walter Moore, Councilman John, Jennifer Solis and Joe Mailander for keeping things going while I was un-wired.

Looking forward to jumping back in the pool with you.

BREAKING NEWS

Former South Gate Tres. gets 10 years. I was down at the Courthouse to see the sentencing in this case. Albert Robles use as a defence that Mayor Villar practices the same sort of "PAY To PLAY" that he was being sent to jail for. He also highlighted how our mayor controls who gets to run for office by controling the flow of special intrest money. I like to hear your input and any connections between local politicals and the Robles machine

What worries me most is our Mayor hasn't yet refuted charges made against him by the Tony Castro piece.

Even if the allegations are somewhat true he had ample opportunity to refute charges.

What Castro charges? That MAV is an insecure egomaniac who sometimes exaggerates?

Welcome to politics.

Albert Robles used Mayor Villaragosa as example for pay to play?

Robles is in deep doo doo. Mayor Villaragosa has NEVER, I SAY NEVER executed a pay to play call.

Hey laddies!!

Pay to Play?? Well, blimee!! That was the theme of the Hahn Administration!!

Batton down the hatches!! Remember Leland Wong, old harbor master, being put on the dock for maybe taking money from Evergreen of Taiwan??

Well blow me down!! Or how abouts Hahn's "mimi-me" Troy Edwards getting jacked off at the Bonaventure Club??

Shiver me timbers!! Or whose can furgets former Airport Tsar Ted Stein reportedly shaking down LAX contractors for guineas to stop the valley from leaving the city??

Those were the days, my friend!! Ain't we glad that they are gone??

"Mayor Villaragosa has NEVER, I SAY NEVER executed a pay to play call. "

You expect us to believe this? FloridaGate? Eli Broad? Ron Burkle? Ron Martinez? Richard Muruelo? Richard Alatorre? .....

You must be as smart as Tony is honorable.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen (Bows low to Capt. Off): Captain Off, it's good to see you back among the living. Although I can see by your post that your time in command of the Good Ship Lollipop has addled your wits, savvy? A bit of rum should help, although a heart to heart with Mr. Dogg will do equally well. Mr. Dogg, you missed your calling. You should have been ordained so as to hear confessions.

But then again you bring a valid point. I have heard mention on this board about pizza poltics (i.e., Chicago style) in the land of great cheese. Are the cows happy? I would venture to say that they are not. Well, perhaps one or two of them wearing moo-moo's.

As to where the fire is, it got doused this last election go 'round. But there are enough smoldering embers to reignite it with a wee bit of stirring. However, the powder keg known as CD-14 is just waiting for a lighted match to be thrown onto the pool of petrol and methinks that the match has already been struck. It remains to be seen who will throw it, savvy? Let us hope it is not a windy day when that baby burns.

Oh, and for those of you in City Hall who are sots and bullies, get your weenies ready to be cooked. I, for one, would like to see the length of some of those weenies and predict that there will be at least one Turkey Frank in the bunch.

And congratulations to Mayor Sam for plugging himself back in. It's nice to see you back on the grid and we hope that your stay with us is a long one with no commercial interruptions.

What bothers me even more is that Mayor SAM has yet to admit that HE covered up for an ex-blog moderator's massive LIES just prior to the last mayoral election about the . . .

80 FAKE NEIGHBORHOOD WATCHES

. . . in CD14 during the Villaraigosa year (elapsed-time/singular). Old-timers may recall that this was ADV's ONLY claim to having done anything in his district to earn $1/3 Million in salary from the city while riding the horseshoe.

But, I guess you can't expect one Minister of Falsehoods to spend any time calling another out.

I find it rather odd, Walter, that my first reaction was the same as yours.

I'll shout it out, "WELCOME BACK, MAYOR SAM!!!" I, for one, missed your presence!
