Come Out And Meet Zuma Dogg Tonight and Friday

Meet Zuma Dogg as he performs LIVE in Malibu and Agoura Hills for "Wild Karaoke."

Tonight: The Legenday "Dume Room" in Malibu. 10p-1a. (Heathercliff & PCH. Pass Kanan, then make left at Arco and into Dume Plaza Shopping Center.) It's a real "dive" bar but good enough for Sean Penn, Nick Nolte, Micha Barton, Colin Farrel, Kevin James and Zuma Dogg...A real local experience.

Friday: Van Nuys City Hall for City Council meeting. 10am. Then 8pm, Zuma Dogg LIVE at the Alamo in Agoura Hills. ZD LIVE and karaoke. 8p-12mid.

These are two wild events thanks to "Gold Dust Entertainment" who organize the events and booked ZD to perform and rock the crowd.

And just to keep this thread "relavant" for all the crybabies who are going to complain I used this space to invite Mayor Sam readers out to meet me...$164 million in traffic fines that weren't collected and:

For a second day, members of the Engineers and Architects Association picketed at the Port of Los Angeles Thursday, delaying a Norwegian Star cruise ship and slowing work at two shipping terminals, a union spokesman said. Meanwhile, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge rejected a request by the City Attorney's Office for a temporary restraining order that would prevent impromptu strikes by the EAA.

To refresh your memory, here are the bare facts of the case:

On February 17, Border Agents Compean and Ramos - both loyal Americans of Mexican descent -- spotted a drug smuggler's van near the Rio Grande.

The van contained 743 pounds of marijuana and was driven by an illegal alien named Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila.

When the illegal drug smuggler saw Agents Ramos and Compean, he ran for the border.

Agent Ramos and another agent chased the drug smuggler.

According to media reports, Aldrete-Davila at one point turned toward the pursuing agents and pointed what appeared to be a gun. At least one of the agents then fired his weapon at the fleeing illegal alien drug smuggler.

The fleeing drug smuggler Aldrete-Davila was hit in his buttocks -- although Agents Compean and Ramos apparently did not know it at the time -- and Aldrete-Davila didn't even slow down. He jumped into a waiting van and sped off in the night.

And would you believe that these brave border patrol agents are now headed to jail for a combined 23 years for what Congressman Tom Tancredo described as "doing their job?"

What happened to Aldrete-Davila? The drug smuggler received full immunity for his crimes in return for his testimony against Compean and Ramos. Not only that, he was given full medical care at an Army medical center in El Paso courtesy of U.S. taxpayers.

And according to Congressman Ted Poe (R-TX), who served as a prosecutor for 8 years and a judge for 22 years before being elected to Congress, "While waiting free to testify, Aldrete-Davila was arrested again for drug smuggling and once again given immunity from the prosecutor."

This is a tragedy of justice that sends the wrong message to our border patrol agents who put their lives on the line each and every day.

Zuma, I love you man, but from Los Feliz on a cold Thurs or Fri night, you couldn't pay me even to go as far as La Brea...

Malibu? I can get to Seattle via Burbank Airport quicker...

Good luck with the show, and I hope we'll see you on the east side soon.

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen (bows low):

Mr. Dogg, the crew and I shall be in attendance. We'll be the ones sipping rum. I'll wager we won't be the only pirates in the room, savvy?

You know Antonio has to be pissed at Rocky for not getting that restraining order against the EAA. What he is going to do now?

Strike is over-may we never have to endure a farce like that again. Hopefully Aquino has a resume that he has been working on. He may have to use it.

EAA's Second Day Of Picketing Causes Delays (CBS Los Angeles)

Truck drivers belonging to the Teamsters union refused to cross the EAA's picket line Thursday morning, preventing the Norwegian Star cruise line from stocking up on provisions, union spokesman Geoffrey Garfield said.

The truckers' supervisors must now travel from San Diego to make the delivery, Garfield said.

In addition, port pilots honored the union's picket line by refusing to pull shipments into terminals operated by Evergreen and China Shipping

yeah, yeah, yeah... EAA creates a wildcat strike somewhere, and doesn't create much of a ripple. EAA membership is clueless; their own union sold them out when their leadership signed a contract with DWP, but didn't attempt to bargain with the rest of the city's departments.

Both EAA and AV caused this mess, maybe Aquino and AV can settle this issue with a fistfight at the Olympic Auditorium - loser agrees to winner's terms. It could be billed as a charity event, to help offset the expenses the city or union might incur.

I'd pay good money to see a fight like that!

My money would be on AV - his breath would knock out an elephant! Hell, his breath should be known as a weapon of mass destruction!

Zuma Dogg - get a job.

Quit trying to be an entertainer because you're no good at it.

If you're going to be a blogger about LA politics, go for it. But don't think for one second that having your face on Ch. 35 three times a week will generate enough fame or name recognition for you to "make it" in entertainment because it's quite obvious that you don't have talent.

Just get a job at starbucks and pay your own way.

Don't listen to the last poster ZD. Keep doing the disc jockey gigs instead of Starbucks. Whatever it takes to keep you in money to expose city hall. That is the important thing.

Oh hell yeah...this is the best week of my life since I started showing up at City Hall over losing my income at Venice Beach due to City Council's b.s. ordinance. (the issue that brought me to city hall.) the shadiness, waste and abuse is what kept me there. and unfortunatley, i spent way too much personal time and money going to city hall three times a week, plus committee meetings, additional NC/community meetings, calling into talk radio 7 days a week, blogging and especially, time spent on the phone (4900 minutes last month) talking to constituents and city hall employees about the issues i bring to the table on TV 35 and other media.

So the fact that i have three paid live gigs this week is perfect. ZD should be a little more balanced after making a splash over the past seven months.

It was great to have to miss Van Nuys City Hall meeting today cause I had too much stuff to do getting ready for this weekends gigs (and sleeping in cause i didn't get done with my gig till about 3am.

So yeah, ZD LIVE gigs are what i supposed to be doing "in between" City Hall business, City Hall isn't supposed to be my entire life. So those who have been concerned about the "Starbuck's factor", maybe I can stay on a roll this holiday season. meanwhile, still feel free to donate at www.zumadogg.com, cause i'm far from out of the woods. ya feel me...

Not only will I donate to keep you around, if I had read this blog earlier I would not have missed the gig tonight. Even though it wasn't in Los Angeles.

I would have loved to hear you disc jockey.

I would have shouted out political trivia had I been there.
