Three Southern California Mayors Endorse Brown
Sacramento—A trio of Southern California Mayors, representing cities with a combined population of more than 160,000 Los Angeles County residents, recently announced their personal endorsements of Jerry Brown for Attorney General. The list of Mayoral endorsers includes: Mayor Ronald Beilke, Pico Rivera, Mayor Pro-Tem Pablo Catano, City of Hawthorne and Mayor Dennis Washburn, Calabasas.Dennis Washburn, Mayor of Calabasas said: “I am looking forward to having Jerry Brown’s voice representing the needs of small cities, just as he has helped the people of Oakland and the Bay Area in recent years.”
The Mayors join a formidable alliance of political endorsements including: Former Vice President Al Gore, Senator Dianne Feinstein, Congresswoman Doris Matsui, Assemblymember Rudy Bermudez, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, as well as the Sierra Club, California Police Chiefs Association and the California League of Conservation Voters.

Rocky Delgadillo is such an embarassment. He thinks he can be the next attorney general when he's cutting deals for slumlords, collecting big checks from tax evaders and circlejerking the system with millions of dollars in outside contracts that benefit only his campaign.
Poor Rocky. He'll be lucky to get a neighborhood council endorsement.
I agree with the previous poster. Rocky is a total embarassment to himself and this City.

Bielke is not the mayor of Pico Rivera. He's mayor pro tem. Rocky going against Jerry is like a boy against a man. A landslide in the making.

Jerry Brown is the real embarassmant. He's being investigated by the Oakland District Attorney for reported vandalism and racial slurs. No wonder the crime rate has risen since he became Mayor of Oakland.
Come on Ace, wasn't the Mayor of Mayberry available? Next time at least include the mayors of Industry and Vernon -- representing almost 200 more voters.

He has a lot less hair these days and a disposition no more charming than when we was Guv... But still a bright fella, much more qualified than Rocky.

What about the problem Brown has in controlling crime in Oakland? Anyone who appointed Rose Bird to the Supreme Court couldn't be tough on criminals. Brown's the murderer's best choice to avoid execution.
But at least Jerry Brown hasn't been bought off by developers and lobbyists...
Rocky doesn't have a chance against Brown. Brown is experienced in the "big time" arena and Rocky is still stuck in a small box. Rocky has lost a lot of support here in lA with all his corruption stories. Brown at least has a record and Latinos like him.
Brown can't win. He's a has-been who's soft on crime. Democrats will rally behind Rocky.
Rocky stood side by side with Brown on a stage before two separate groups of Democrats last week. At the end of the hour, both groups overwhelmingly endorsed Brown. Are these the Democrats you expect to rally behind Rockturd?
Rocky has to peek at a script to tell his own "life story." And once circumstances force him off the script, he's toast.
What will happen to Ann Damato when Rocky gets trounced! She is telling people that Rocky is 'gaining' and that people are flocking to him!
Would love to be the fly on the wall when Rocky loses by 30 and asks Ann what happened.

The Brown/"racial slurs" etc. incident stems from Brown having gone on a ride-along with Oakland police. They hit several nightclubs that have a rep for excessive noise and fighting. At one club they went to, some women had been thrown out for fighting and started to get into it again as Brown and the police arrived. Brown was caught in the middle of the melee. When it was over, one of the women started screaming that Brown had called her the N-word and said he tried to smash her phone. Every witness at the scene from cops to patrons to the club's managers and security staff said they saw and heard nothing from Brown and the drunk made the whole thing up. The drunk also said she got the whole thing on her cameraphone but no such picture was found in the phone. Brown himself insisted on an official investigation so it doesn't appear the mayor tried to cover anything up.

I don't think the people will settle for a womb-snatching anti-choice candidate like Poochigian in the AG office. It's year six of the Republican reign -- time for the poles in this country to shift. Keep dreaming, though.

You must have been partying late before writing that post. Sober up before you sit down to a computer, or you'll make Jerry look bad.
Suffice it to say nothing has been published showing Brown "insisted on an official investigation" nor have the results of that investigation been disclosed.
It seems highly unlikely that he would want such scrutiny. What was he doing at a bar late at night, anyway? Is that where you would expect to find the Mayor of California's eighth largest city?
