C'mon this is all for show. LAUSD will never allow Chick to audit them. Are you kidding???? I can imagine what she would find.

I bet she'll get to the bottom of everything - just like she did with Antonio's two million dollar bust while Chair of the Transportation Committee. All the deals have been brokered - Broad, Meruelo, UTLA have all paid her off. She'll find some little Mexican contractor and lay everything on him. Antonio promised her a state office, she'll do anything to cover his ass - and now Huizar's too.

Archie, you're a moron on many levels. But for God's sake, Man, learn to write complete sentences, use punctuation properly and conjugate a fuc*ing verb.

I say audit all the non profits throughout the city that get tons of federal money to help the youth but yet you don't see anything coming from them. Audit Homeboy Industries and people will be shocked where that money is really really going. This year they bought a $10 million building near Chinatown.

I couldn't agree with you more. How about starting with Families in Schools. I hear that the President alone makes over $230,000 a year! So much for the kids.

Where was Huizar?

Archie, all the more reason for you to stay out of intelligent conversations.
Now go along to a sports blog or simply chat with Walter. Leave the political analysis to people who can think.

Do it!
Why are they so defensive? What have they got to hide?

That wasn't how it worked at the ventriloquism school I attended... we put hands up the dummies' backs (but, to each his own).

Laura Chic's gonna make a movie with Robert de Niro soon -- called "Audit This!"
Bada bing!

Archie, you're hopeless. You won't "learn better."
Grammar has nothing to do with elitism. It simply reflects your inability to communicate, which in effect, represents your inability to comprehend. Thus, if you can't understand things, you ought not participate in conversations above your head.
Now go onto a sports blog. Bye-bye.

Just so we're clear, Archie, you don't make typos or minor errors. You simply cannot write coherently. Let's review your previous post:
"Dude, you obvious [1] have nothing to contribute to this conversation other than attacking me on Grahamatical [2] errors. (Maybe I do these intentionally to piss people off and to think [3] I'm the ignorant lovable bigot.)
Do you make any of these comments when Villaraigosa makes grammatical mistakes when he speaks? No and yes [4] he makes some from time-to-time when he gives interviews.
Let's go back to the thread at hand,[5] What is your opinion of Laura Chick's audit?
Hmmmmmm. So far, I hear nothing other than cricket's [6] chirping."
1. I THINK YOU MEANT OBVIOUSLY - AN ADVERB.
2. I RECOGNIZE THE SARCASM HERE MEANT TO COVER UP YOUR OTHER MISTAKES.
3. WOW. THIS SENTENCE JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. YOU PROBABLY MEANT TO SAY "and to make them think I'm the . . ."
4. PUNCTUATION ISN'T THAT HARD, IS IT? HERE'S HOW PUNCTUATION CAN HELP: "No. And yes he makes some . . ."
5. "PERIODS" END SENTENCES, NOT COMMAS.
6. APOSTROPHES INDICATE POSSESSIVE CASE. CLEARLY, THE WORD CRICKETS IS PLURAL, AND THEREFORE DOESN'T REQUIRE AN APOSTROPHE.
I'm sure all of this was intended for fun to reflect your ignorant lovable character. But you forgot the lovable part, Archie.

You shouldn't begin sentences with an "and" in such cases. Try a semicolon there,
Hey, we all make misteaks, but it's best not to make them when lecturing people about proper punctuation and grammar.

An audit should happen. LAUSD will resist Chick's audit because (1) it will embarrass them, (2) she's too close to the Mayor and they'll view it as a political attempt to fuel his takeover plan and (3) they have to demonstrate autonomy from the City of LA who they rightly argue has no authority over them.
The call for an LA Controller's audit is for show.

4:53 - You are correct. One SHOULDN'T begin a sentence with the word "and," however, it the sentene IS grammatically correct.
Now bite me.

Now you can chew my head off!

this act of wasting $$$$$$$$$$$$$ is to cover up Jose Huizar's ugly past on the LAUSD Board. Remember he will be running in two years.
It's horrible to know Chick takes orders from Antonio to save his little boy Jose.

4:34 PM Are you one of the LAUSD teachers who sit around criticizing kids instead of teaching them?
