6:00 PM -- The Central City East Association will stage "Neighborhood Watch Walk'' to call for an end to drug-related criminal behavior and to invite homeless people to be taken to a shelter for the night. A van from the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority will accompany the walkers and provide shelter and counseling. Expected to participate are City Councilwoman Jan Perry, Estela Lopez of the CCEA, Capt. Andrew Smith of LAPD Central Division and Orlando Ward of Midnight Mission. Walk will begin at the Midnight Mission, 601 S. San Pedro St.
6:30 PM -- City Councilman Tom LaBonge will draw the name of the winner of a below-market-priced two-bedroom condominium unit in North Hollywood. 11124 Burbank Blvd.
6:30 PM -- County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky will kick off his re-election campaign. Cocktail hour at 6:30 p.m.; dinner at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa will attend at 8:15 p.m. International Ballroom, Beverly Hilton hotel, 9876 Wilshire Blvd.
